2022-06-24tcl/target: add SPDX tagAntonio Borneo1-0/+2
For historical reasons, no license information was added to the tcl files. This makes trivial adding the SPDX tag through script: fgrep -rL SPDX tcl/ target| while read a;do \ sed -i '1{i# SPDX-License-Identifier: GPL-2.0-or-later\n }' $a;done With no specific license information from the author, let's extend the OpenOCD project license GPL-2.0-or-later to the files. 2020-05-09tcl: remove trailing whitespaceAntonio Borneo1-1/+1
The script checkpatch available in new Linux kernel offers an experimental feature for automatically fix the code in place. While still experimental, the feature works quite well for simple fixes, like spacing. This patch has been created automatically with the script under review for inclusion in OpenOCD, using the command: find tcl/ -type f -exec ./tools/scripts/checkpatch.pl \ -q --types TRAILING_WHITESPACE --fix-inplace -f {} \; The patch only changes amount and position of whitespace, thus the following commands show empty diff git diff -w git log -w -p git log -w --stat Change-Id: Ie7e3a236f4db9c70019e3b3c7e851edbd3a9dd84 Signed-off-by: Antonio Borneo <borneo.antonio@gmail.com> Reviewed-on: http://openocd.zylin.com/5616 Reviewed-by: Andreas Fritiofson <andreas.fritiofson@gmail.com> Tested-by: jenkins

specific targets (setup_lpc<number>) take core clock and adapter clock as parameters. This way "constant" parameters (flash size and type, CPUTAPID, etc.) do not need to be copied if one wishes to change the "variable" parameters - like the core clock or adapter clock - in a board config file or somewhere else. 2010-12-09remove srst_pulls_trst from LPC2xxx target scriptsFreddie Chopin1-2/+1
LPC2xxx do not require reset_config srst_pulls_trst. This can cause various "strange" problems when flashing the chip, because "reset halt" actually allows the chip to run for some short period of time and execute some code. Signed-off-by: Freddie Chopin <freddie_chopin@op.pl>

2010-03-15rename jtag_nsrst_delay as adapter_nsrst_delayDavid Brownell1-1/+1
Globally rename "jtag_nsrst_delay" as "adapter_nsrst_delay", and move it out of the "jtag" command group ... it needs to be used with non-JTAG transports Includes a migration aid (in jtag/startup.tcl) so that old user scripts won't break. That aid should Sunset in about a year. Signed-off-by: David Brownell <dbrownell@users.sourceforge.net>

Sets $_FLASHNAME to "$_CHIPNAME.flash" and passes it as the first argument to 'flash bank'.
2009-11-16ARM: "armv4_5" command prefix becomes "arm"David Brownell1-1/+1
Rename the "armv4_5" command prefix to straight "arm" so it makes more sense for newer cores. Add a simple compatibility script. Make sure all the commands give the same "not an ARM" diagnostic message (and fail properly) when called against non-ARM targets. Signed-off-by: David Brownell <dbrownell@users.sourceforge.net>
2009-11-08target.cfg: remove "-work-area-virt 0"David Brownell1-1/+1
The semantics of "-work-area-virt 0" (or phys) changed with the patch to require specifying physical or virtrual work area addresses. Specifying zero was previously a NOP. Now it means that address zero is valid. This patch addresses three related issues: - MMU-less processors should never specify work-area-virt; remove those specifications. Such processors include ARM7TDMI, Cortex-M3, and ARM966. - MMU-equipped processors *can* specify work-area-virt... but zero won't be appropriate, except in mischievous contexts (which hide null pointer exceptions). Remove those specs from those processors too. If any of those mappings is valid, someone will need to submit a patch adding it ... along with a comment saying what OS provides the mapping, and in which context. Example, say "works with Linux 2.6.30+, in kernel mode". (Note that ARM Linux doesn't map kernel memory to zero ...) - Clarify docs on that "-virt" and other work area stuff. Seems to me work-area-virt is quite problematic; not every operating system provides such static mappings; if they do, they're not in every MMU context... 2009-10-31target.cfg: use $_TARGETNAME for flashFreddie Chopin1-1/+1
This gets rid of runtime warnings from the use of numbers. STM32 and LPC2103 were tested. Other LPC updates are the same, and so are safe. The CFI updates match other tested changes now in the tree. Signed-off-by: David Brownell <dbrownell@users.sourceforge.net>
