* cli/cli-cmds.c (shell_escape): Use waitpid. * rs6000-nat.c (exec_one_dummy_insn): Likewise. gdb/testsuite/ * gdb.base/async-shell.c: New file. * gdb.base/async-shell.exp: New file.
