| I believe the only elflink.c specialties for is_relocatable_executable needed by tic6x are those directly related to dynamic section symbols. I might be wrong, the code in record_dynamic_symbol and record_link_assignment predated the tic6x port, but I think these were symbian specific hacks. The shlib-app-1* testsuite changes aren't needed for this patch. I started making them when trying to remove is_relocatable_executable completely, but figure it is worth keeping the more permissive address matching for some future generic linker change. The static-app-1* changes also adjust to the fact that an unneeded "c" no longer appears in the dynamic symbol table. bfd/ * elflink.c (bfd_elf_link_record_dynamic_symbol): Don't do anything special for is_relocatable_executable. | This patch is a first pass at fixing readelf message pluralization. I've deliberately not fixed the "out of memory" errors since it's very unlikely that they will ever be complaining about not being able to allocate for a single entry, and a few others where the size is very unlikely to be 1 byte. Then there are messages like this one: "Out of %lu items there are %zu bucket clashes (longest of %zu entries).\n" I suppose this could be split into three parts, "Of %lu items ", "there are %zu bucket clashes ", and "(longest of %zu entries).\n", each part being printed separately, but that might not be ideal for sentence construction in other languages. | Currently, section ordering differs a little for non-loaded reloc sections output by ld -emit-relocs or ld -r and that after passing such objects through objcopy. Not that it really matters, but it would be better for a simple objcopy to produce an unchanged output object file. Also, section headers are put somewhere in the middle of the non-loaded sections, again slightly differently for ld and objcopy.
