add ability to apply ad hoc edits to vcs command line (#163)

* Updating to keep up with Direction mega PR
Fix several classes to use ActualDirection/DataMirror.directionOf API
Fixed up Flip and UInt literal api references in several tests

* refactored to create a command editor that can be applied here
and maybe to verilog or other external commands
