2022-06-24tcl/target: add SPDX tagAntonio Borneo1-0/+2
For historical reasons, no license information was added to the tcl files. This makes trivial adding the SPDX tag through script: fgrep -rL SPDX tcl/ target| while read a;do \ sed -i '1{i# SPDX-License-Identifier: GPL-2.0-or-later\n }' $a;done With no specific license information from the author, let's extend the OpenOCD project license GPL-2.0-or-later to the files. 2020-01-29tcl: replace the deprecated commands with "adapter ..."Antonio Borneo1-4/+4
Avoid annoying "deprecated" messages while running the scripts distributed with OpenOCD code. 2014-09-22target: Remove "-variant" argumentAndreas Fritiofson1-1/+1
Remove this underutilized feature. Despite the fact that a lot of configs specifies a arbitrary "variant", only the xscale target actually defines any. In the case of xscale, the use of -variant is dubious since 1) it's used as a redundant irlen specifier, 2) it carries a comment that it doesn't really need it and 3) only two xscale configs even specify it. If there's a future target that needs a variant set, a target specific option could be added when needed. 2013-10-29Remove jtag_rclk from target configsPaul Fertser1-3/+3
Some boards might have RCLK omitted from the JTAG connector and if the interface claims support for it, OpenOCD will end up trying to use RCLK while it's actually impossible. This is a "cd tcl/target; sed -i s/jtag_rclk/adapter_khz/g *" patch. Globally rename "jtag_nsrst_delay" as "adapter_nsrst_delay", and move it out of the "jtag" command group ... it needs to be used with non-JTAG transports Includes a migration aid (in jtag/startup.tcl) so that old user scripts won't break. 2009-11-08target.cfg: remove "-work-area-virt 0"David Brownell1-1/+1
The semantics of "-work-area-virt 0" (or phys) changed with the patch to require specifying physical or virtrual work area addresses. Specifying zero was previously a NOP. Now it means that address zero is valid. This patch addresses three related issues: - MMU-less processors should never specify work-area-virt; remove those specifications. Such processors include ARM7TDMI, Cortex-M3, and ARM966. - MMU-equipped processors *can* specify work-area-virt... but zero won't be appropriate, except in mischievous contexts (which hide null pointer exceptions). Remove those specs from those processors too. If any of those mappings is valid, someone will need to submit a patch adding it ... along with a comment saying what OS provides the mapping, and in which context. Example, say "works with Linux 2.6.30+, in kernel mode". (Note that ARM Linux doesn't map kernel memory to zero ...) - Clarify docs on that "-virt" and other work area stuff. Seems to me work-area-virt is quite problematic; not every operating system provides such static mappings; if they do, they're not in every MMU context... Add configuration for an old AT91rm9200 board, the Cogent CSB 337. Worth noting from the OpenOCD perspective: - It got a real hardware trace port connector; wired up here as much as we can, lacking inexpensive trace-aware dongles. - This is the first in-tree use of the "arm920t cp15" command. It adjusts the CPU clocking and enables i-cache, which gives more than 4x speedup after booting Linux; it's visible even just running U-Boot. git-svn-id: svn://svn.berlios.de/openocd/trunk@2134 b42882b7-edfa-0310-969c-e2dbd0fdcd60
