2021-02-05cpu: tcg_ops: move to tcg-cpu-ops.h, keep a pointer in CPUClassClaudio Fontana1-4/+13
we cannot in principle make the TCG Operations field definitions conditional on CONFIG_TCG in code that is included by both common_ss and specific_ss modules. Therefore, what we can do safely to restrict the TCG fields to TCG-only builds, is to move all tcg cpu operations into a separate header file, which is only included by TCG, target-specific code. This leaves just a NULL pointer in the cpu.h for the non-TCG builds. This also tidies up the code in all targets a bit, having all TCG cpu operations neatly contained by a dedicated data struct. The TCG-specific CPU methods will be moved to a separate struct, to make it easier to move accel-specific code outside generic CPU code in the future. Start by moving tcg_initialize(). The new CPUClass.tcg_opts field may eventually become a pointer, but keep it an embedded struct for now, to make code conversion easier. 2019-12-18qemu_log_lock/unlock now preserves the qemu_logfile handle.Robert Foley1-2/+2
qemu_log_lock() now returns a handle and qemu_log_unlock() receives a handle to unlock. This allows for changing the handle during logging and ensures the lock() and unlock() are for the same file. Also in target/tilegx/translate.c removed the qemu_log_lock()/unlock() calls (and the log("\n")), since the translator can longjmp out of the loop if it attempts to translate an instruction in an inaccessible page. For all targets, into this new file move TARGET_LONG_BITS, TARGET_PAGE_BITS, TARGET_PHYS_ADDR_SPACE_BITS, TARGET_VIRT_ADDR_SPACE_BITS, and NB_MMU_MODES. Include this new file from exec/cpu-defs.h. This now removes the somewhat odd requirement that target/arch/cpu.h defines TARGET_LONG_BITS before including exec/cpu-defs.h, so push the bulk of the includes within target/arch/cpu.h to the top. 2019-04-18qom/cpu: Simplify how CPUClass:cpu_dump_state() printsMarkus Armbruster2-22/+20
CPUClass method dump_statistics() takes an fprintf()-like callback and a FILE * to pass to it. Most callers pass fprintf() and stderr. log_cpu_state() passes fprintf() and qemu_log_file. hmp_info_registers() passes monitor_fprintf() and the current monitor cast to FILE *. monitor_fprintf() casts it right back, and is otherwise identical to monitor_printf(). The callback gets passed around a lot, which is tiresome. The type-punning around monitor_fprintf() is ugly. Drop the callback, and call qemu_fprintf() instead. Also gets rid of the type-punning, since qemu_fprintf() takes NULL instead of the current monitor cast to FILE *. 2018-10-18target/unicore32: remove tlb_flush from uc32_init_fnEmilio G. Cota1-2/+0
As far as I can tell tlb_flush does not need to be called this early. tlb_flush is eventually called after the CPU has been realized. This change paves the way to the introduction of tlb_init, which will be called from cpu_exec_realizefn. 2018-02-21target/*/cpu.h: remove softfloat.hAlex Bennée3-1/+2
As cpu.h is another typically widely included file which doesn't need full access to the softfloat API we can remove the includes from here as well. Where they do need types it's typically for float_status and the rounding modes so we move that to softfloat-types.h as well. As a result of not having softfloat in every cpu.h call we now need to add it to various helpers that do need the full softfloat.h definitions. 2018-01-25accel/tcg: add size paremeter in tlb_fill()Laurent Vivier4-6/+6
The MC68040 MMU provides the size of the access that triggers the page fault. This size is set in the Special Status Word which is written in the stack frame of the access fault exception. So we need the size in m68k_cpu_unassigned_access() and m68k_cpu_handle_mmu_fault(). To be able to do that, this patch modifies the prototype of handle_mmu_fault handler, tlb_fill() and probe_write(). do_unassigned_access() already includes a size parameter. This patch also updates handle_mmu_fault handlers and tlb_fill() of all targets (only parameter, no code change).
