2022-03-08hw/mips/gt64xxx_pci: Resolve gt64120_register()Bernhard Beschow1-3/+0
Now that gt64120_register() lost its pic parameter, there is an opportunity to remove it. gt64120_register() is old style by wrapping qdev API, and the new style is to use qdev directly. So take the opportunity and modernize the code. 2022-03-08malta: Move PCI interrupt handling from gt64xxx_pci to piix4Bernhard Beschow1-1/+1
Handling PCI interrupts in piix4 increases cohesion and reduces differences between piix4 and piix3. 2020-10-17hw/mips: Simplify code using ROUND_UP(INITRD_PAGE_SIZE)Philippe Mathieu-Daudé1-1/+3
Instead of using a INITRD_PAGE_MASK definition, use the simpler INITRD_PAGE_SIZE one which allows us to simplify the code by using directly the self-explicit ROUND_UP() macro. 2019-08-16Include hw/irq.h a lot lessMarkus Armbruster1-1/+0
In my "build everything" tree, changing hw/irq.h triggers a recompile of some 5400 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). hw/hw.h supposedly includes it for convenience. Several other headers include it just to get qemu_irq and.or qemu_irq_handler. Move the qemu_irq and qemu_irq_handler typedefs from hw/irq.h to qemu/typedefs.h, and then include hw/irq.h only where it's still needed. Touching it now recompiles only some 500 objects. 2017-07-14memory/iommu: QOM'fy IOMMU MemoryRegionAlexey Kardashevskiy1-1/+1
This defines new QOM object - IOMMUMemoryRegion - with MemoryRegion as a parent. This moves IOMMU-related fields from MR to IOMMU MR. However to avoid dymanic QOM casting in fast path (address_space_translate, etc), this adds an @is_iommu boolean flag to MR and provides new helper to do simple cast to IOMMU MR - memory_region_get_iommu. The flag is set in the instance init callback. This defines memory_region_is_iommu as memory_region_get_iommu()!=NULL. This switches MemoryRegion to IOMMUMemoryRegion in most places except the ones where MemoryRegion may be an alias. Now that rc4030 internally uses an AddressSpace for DMA handling, make its root memory region public. This is especially usefull for dp8393x netcard, which now uses well known QEMU types and methods. 2013-07-29hw/mips: align initrd to 64KB to avoid kernel errorJames Hogan1-0/+3
The Linux kernel can be configured to use 64KB pages, but it also requires initrd to be page aligned. Therefore, to be safe, align the initrd to 64KB using a new INITRD_PAGE_MASK rather than TARGET_PAGE_MASK. 2013-04-08hw: move headers to include/Paolo Bonzini1-0/+29
Many of these should be cleaned up with proper qdev-/QOM-ification. Right now there are many catch-all headers in include/hw/ARCH depending on cpu.h, and this makes it necessary to compile these files per-target. However, fixing this does not belong in these patches.
