2025-07-15accel: Extract AccelClass definition to 'accel/accel-ops.h'Philippe Mathieu-Daudé1-0/+1
Only accelerator implementations (and the common accelator code) need to know about AccelClass internals. Move the definition out but forward declare AccelState and AccelClass. 2025-07-15accel: Rename 'system/accel-ops.h' -> 'accel/accel-cpu-ops.h'Philippe Mathieu-Daudé1-1/+1
Unfortunately "system/accel-ops.h" handlers are not only system-specific. For example, the cpu_reset_hold() hook is part of the vCPU creation, after it is realized. Mechanical rename to drop 'system' using: $ sed -i -e s_system/accel-ops.h_accel/accel-cpu-ops.h_g \ $(git grep -l system/accel-ops.h) Signed-off-by: Philippe Mathieu-Daudé <philmd@linaro.org> Reviewed-by: Zhao Liu <zhao1.liu@intel.com> Reviewed-by: Richard Henderson <richard.henderson@linaro.org> Message-Id: <20250703173248.44995-38-philmd@linaro.org>
2025-07-04accel: Remove unused MachineState argument of AccelClass::setup_post()Philippe Mathieu-Daudé1-1/+1
This method only accesses xen_domid/xen_domid_restrict, which are both related to the 'accelerator', not the machine. Besides, xen_domid aims to be in Xen AccelState and xen_domid_restrict a xen_domid_restrict QOM property. 2025-07-04accel: Expose and register generic_handle_interrupt()Philippe Mathieu-Daudé1-0/+1
In order to dispatch over AccelOpsClass::handle_interrupt(), we need it always defined, not calling a hidden handler under the hood. Make AccelOpsClass::handle_interrupt() mandatory. Expose generic_handle_interrupt() prototype and register it for each accelerator. 2025-03-06accel: Forward-declare AccelOpsClass in 'qemu/typedefs.h'Philippe Mathieu-Daudé1-0/+1
The heavily imported "system/cpus.h" header includes "accel-ops.h" to get AccelOpsClass type declaration. Reduce headers pressure by forward declaring it in "qemu/typedefs.h", where we already declare the AccelCPUState type. 2024-03-09hw/xen: Extract 'xen_igd.h' from 'xen_pt.h'Philippe Mathieu-Daudé1-0/+1
"hw/xen/xen_pt.h" requires "hw/xen/xen_native.h" which is target specific. It also declares IGD methods, which are not target specific. Target-agnostic code can use IGD methods. 2023-03-23accel/xen: Fix DM state change notification in dm_restrict modeDavid Woodhouse1-17/+10
When dm_restrict is set, QEMU isn't permitted to update the XenStore node to indicate its running status. Previously, the xs_write() call would fail but the failure was ignored. However, in refactoring to allow for emulated XenStore operations, a new call to xs_open() was added. That one didn't fail gracefully, causing a fatal error when running in dm_restrict mode. Partially revert the offending patch, removing the additional call to xs_open() because the global 'xenstore' variable is still available; it just needs to be used with qemu_xen_xs_write() now instead of directly with the xs_write() libxenstore function. Also make the whole thing conditional on !xen_domid_restrict. There's no point even registering the state change handler to attempt to update the XenStore node when we know it's destined to fail. 2023-03-07hw/xen: Rename xen_common.h to xen_native.hDavid Woodhouse1-0/+1
This header is now only for native Xen code, not PV backends that may be used in Xen emulation. Since the toolstack libraries may depend on the specific version of Xen headers that they pull in (and will set the __XEN_TOOLS__ macro to enable internal definitions that they depend on), the rule is that xen_native.h (and thus the toolstack library headers) must be included *before* any of the headers in include/hw/xen/interface. 2020-10-24accel: Add xen CpusAccel using dummy-cpusJason Andryuk1-0/+8
Xen was broken by commit 1583a3898853 ("cpus: extract out qtest-specific code to accel/qtest"). 2020-08-04accel/xen: Fix xen_enabled() behavior on target-agnostic objectsPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé1-6/+1
CONFIG_XEN is generated by configure and stored in "config-target.h", which is (obviously) only include for target-specific objects. This is a problem for target-agnostic objects as CONFIG_XEN is never defined and xen_enabled() is always inlined as 'false'. Fix by following the KVM schema, defining CONFIG_XEN_IS_POSSIBLE when we don't know to force the call of the non-inlined function, returning the xen_allowed boolean. 2020-06-12xen: fix build without pci passthroughAnthony PERARD1-2/+2
Xen PCI passthrough support may not be available and thus the global variable "has_igd_gfx_passthru" might be compiled out. Common code should not access it in that case. Unfortunately, we can't use CONFIG_XEN_PCI_PASSTHROUGH directly in xen-common.c so this patch instead move access to the has_igd_gfx_passthru variable via function and those functions are also implemented as stubs. The stubs will be used when QEMU is built without passthrough support. Now, when one will want to enable igd-passthru via the -machine property, they will get an error message if QEMU is built without passthrough support.
