2024-03-21sim/erc32: Rename EVENT_MAX -> MAX_EVENTSOrgad Shaneh1-3/+3
EVENT_MAX is defined as 0x7FFFFFFF (INT_MAX) in winuser.h, so when building on Windows, the value is overridden and compilation fails because the array size of evbuf is too large. Bug: https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=28476 Approved-By: Tom Tromey <tom@tromey.com>
2024-01-12Update copyright year range in header of all files managed by GDBAndrew Burgess1-1/+1
This commit is the result of the following actions: - Running gdb/copyright.py to update all of the copyright headers to include 2024, - Manually updating a few files the copyright.py script told me to update, these files had copyright headers embedded within the file, - Regenerating gdbsupport/Makefile.in to refresh it's copyright date, - Using grep to find other files that still mentioned 2023. If these files were updated last year from 2022 to 2023 then I've updated them this year to 2024. I'm sure I've probably missed some dates. Feel free to fix them up as you spot them.

2023-01-01Update copyright year range in header of all files managed by GDBJoel Brobecker1-1/+1
This commit is the result of running the gdb/copyright.py script, which automated the update of the copyright year range for all source files managed by the GDB project to be updated to include year 2023.
2022-10-29sim/erc32: Use int32_t as IRQ callback argumentTsukasa OI1-1/+1
Clang generates a warning if an argument is passed to a function without prototype (zero arguments, even without (void)). Such calls are deprecated forms of indefinite arguments passing ("-Wdeprecated-non-prototype"). On the default configuration, it (somehow) doesn't cause a build failure but a warning is generated. But because the cause is the same as the issue the author fixed in "sim/erc32: Use int32_t as event callback argument", it would be better to fix it now to prevent problems in the future. To fix the issue, this commit makes struct irqcall to use int32_t as a callback (callback) argument of an IRQ.
2022-10-29sim/erc32: Use int32_t as event callback argumentTsukasa OI1-5/+5
Clang generates a warning if an argument is passed to a function without prototype (zero arguments, even without (void)). Such calls are deprecated forms of indefinite arguments passing ("-Wdeprecated-non-prototype"). On the default configuration, it causes a build failure (unless "--disable-werror" is specified). To fix that, this commit makes struct evcell to use int32_t as a callback (cfunc) argument of an event. int32_t is chosen because "event" function accepts "int32_t arg".
2022-10-29sim/erc32: Insert void parameterTsukasa OI1-3/+3
Clang generates a warning if there is a function declaration/definition with zero arguments. Such declarations/definitions without a prototype (an argument list) are deprecated forms of indefinite arguments ("-Wdeprecated-non-prototype"). On the default configuration, it causes a build failure (unless "--disable-werror" is specified). This commit replaces () with (void) to avoid this warning.
2022-08-06Don't use BFD_VMA_FMT in gdb and simAlan Modra1-2/+2
Like commit b82817674f, this replaces BFD_VMA_FMT "x" in sim/ with PRIx64 and casts to promote bfd_vma to uint64_t. The one file using BFD_VMA_FMT in gdb/ instead now uses hex_string, and a typo in the warning message is fixed.
2022-01-06sim: erc32: migrate to standard uintXX_t typesMike Frysinger1-48/+48
This old port setup its own uintXX types, but since we require C11 now, we can assume the standard uintXX_t types exist and use them.

2021-05-16sim: switch config.h usage to defs.hMike Frysinger1-1/+3
The defs.h header will take care of including the various config.h headers. For now, it's just config.h, but we'll add more when we integrate gnulib in. This header should be used instead of config.h, and should be the first include in every .c file. We won't rely on the old behavior where we expected files to include the port's sim-main.h which then includes the common sim-basics.h which then includes config.h. We have a ton of code that includes things before sim-main.h, and it sometimes needs to be that way. Creating a dedicated header avoids the ordering mess and implicit inclusion that shows up otherwise.
2021-05-04sim: clean up bfd_vma printingMike Frysinger1-1/+1
A lot of this code predates the bfd_vma format define, so we have a random mix of casts to known types so we can printf the value. Use the BFD_VMA_FMT that now exists to simplify and reliability output across different build configs.

gdb/ChangeLog: Update copyright year range in all GDB files.
2019-09-19bfd_section_* macrosAlan Modra1-5/+5
This large patch removes the unnecessary bfd parameter from various bfd section macros and functions. The bfd is hardly ever used and if needed for the bfd_set_section_* or bfd_rename_section functions can be found via section->owner except for the com, und, abs, and ind std_section special sections. Those sections shouldn't be modified anyway. The patch also removes various bfd_get_section_<field> macros, replacing their use with bfd_section_<field>, and adds bfd_set_section_lma. I've also fixed a minor bug in gas where compressed section renaming was done directly rather than calling bfd_rename_section. This would have broken bfd_get_section_by_name and similar functions, but that hardly mattered at such a late stage in gas processing. bfd/ * bfd-in.h (bfd_get_section_name, bfd_get_section_vma), (bfd_get_section_lma, bfd_get_section_alignment), (bfd_get_section_size, bfd_get_section_flags), (bfd_get_section_userdata): Delete. 2019-01-01Update copyright year range in all GDB files.Joel Brobecker1-1/+1
This commit applies all changes made after running the gdb/copyright.py script. Note that one file was flagged by the script, due to an invalid copyright header (gdb/unittests/basic_string_view/element_access/char/empty.cc). As the file was copied from GCC's libstdc++-v3 testsuite, this commit leaves this file untouched for the time being; a patch to fix the header was sent to gcc-patches first. gdb/ChangeLog: Update copyright year range in all GDB files.

* erc32.c (sis_memory_write): Change prototype to const unsigned char *. * func.c (exec_cmd, event, advance_time, wait_for_irq): Use uint64 for counts. * interf.c (run_sim): Change icount to uint64_t. Use strtol directly. (sim_resume): Specify maximum run time as uint64. * sis.c (run_sim): Change icount to uint64_t. * sis.h: Define uint64 as uint64_t. Change various fields and prototypes to uint64 to support longer simulations.
2005-07-08 * func.c: Remove ANSI_PROTOTYPES conditional code.Ben Elliston1-4/+0

* sim/erc32/float.c (set_fsr): Do not use deprecated multi-line strings. (clear_accex): Ditto. * sim/erc32/interf.c: Remove the redeclaration of fprintf. * sim/erc32/sis.c: Ditto. * sim/erc32/exec.c: Add missing semicolon. * sim/erc32/func.c: Remove definitions of generic_print_address, generic_symbol_at_address, buffer_read_memory and perror_memory, as they are already defined in opcodes/dis-buf.c.

1998-06-02 * interf.c (sim_open): Use revamped memory_read, which makesMark Alexander1-122/+293
byte-swapping unnecessary. Add -sparclite-board option for emulating RAM found on typical SPARClite boards. Print error message for unrecognized option. * erc32.c: Change RAM address and size from constants to variables, to allow emulation of SPARClite board RAM. (fetch_bytes, store_bytes): New helper functions for revamped mememory_read and memory_write. (memory_read, memory_write): Rewrite to store bytes in target byte order instead of storing words in host byte order; this greatly simplifies support of little-endian programs. (get_mem_ptr): Remove unnecessary byte parameter. (sis_memory_write, sis_memory_read): Store words in target byte order instead of host byte order. (byte_swap_words): Remove, no longer needed. * sis.h ((byte_swap_words): Remove declaration, no longer needed. (memory_read): Add new sz parameter. * sis.c (run_sim): Use revamped memory_read, which makes byte-swapping unnecessary. * exec.c (dispatch_instruction): Use revamped memory_read, which makes byte-swapping and double-word fetching unnecessary. * func.c (sparclite_board): Declare new variable. (get_regi): Handle little-endian data. (bfd_load): Recognize little-endian SPARClite as having little-endian data.
