The IBM z/Architecture Principle of Operation [1] specifies the last operand(s) of some (extended) mnemonics to be optional. Align the mnemonic definitions in the opcode table according to specification. This changes the last operand of the following (extended) mnemonics to be optional: risbg, risbgz, risbgn, risbgnz, risbhg, risblg, rnsbg, rosbg, rxsbg Note that efpc and sfpc actually have only one operand, but had erroneously been defined to have two. For backwards compatibility the wrong RR register format must be retained. Since the superfluous second operand is defined as optional the instruction can still be coded as specified. The result of running etc/update-copyright.py --this-year, fixing all the files whose mode is changed by the script, plus a build with --enable-maintainer-mode --enable-cgen-maint=yes, then checking out */po/*.pot which we don't update frequently. The copy of cgen was with commit d1dd5fcc38ead reverted as that commit breaks building of bfp opcodes files.

These two extended mnemonics are documented in the Principles of Operations manual but currently not supported by Binutils. They provide aliases for already supported instructions with the zero flag being set. 2020-12-03IBM Z: Add support for HLASM extended mnemonicsAndreas Krebbel1-0/+14
Add extended mnemonics used in the HLASM assembler. All of them are just aliases for instructions we already support and help when assembling code which was written for the HLASM assembler. The HLASM mnemonics are documented here: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSENW6_1.6.0/com.ibm.hlasm.v1r6.asm/asmr1023.pdf See the 'Branching with extended mnemonic codes' chapter. objdump will still print the existing mnemonics with the exception of relative nop branches (i.e. conditional branches with an empty condition code mask). Now we have jnop and jgnop which will be used by objdump when possible. Later CPU generations added optional operands to the ipte/idte instructions. I've added these with: https://sourceware.org/ml/binutils/2017-05/msg00316.html ... but supported the optional operands only with the specific hardware levels. However, it is more useful to have the optional operands already in the first versions. Of course they need to be zero there. Regression-tested with on s390 and s390x. Committed to mainline. 2017-02-23S/390: Add support for new cpu architecture - arch12.Andreas Krebbel1-43/+240
This adds support of new instructions to the S/390 specific parts. The important feature of the new instruction set is the support of single and extended precision floating point vector operations. Note: arch12 is NOT the official name of the new CPU. It just continues the series of archXX options supported as alternate names. The archXX terminology refers to the edition number of the Principle of Operations manual. The official CPU name will be added later while keeping support of the arch12 for backwards compatibility.
