Remove the support for the QNX Neutrino OS (tdep and native bits). This
has been unmaintained for years, and we don't have a way to see if it
works (or even builds, for the native parts). Without somebody actively
maintaining it, this is just a burden for developers, especially that
this port does a few weird unique things that require reasoning about
when doing big change.
Support for GDBserver was removed in 2020, commit 613f149a90d6
("gdbserver: remove support for Neutrino").

`struct so_list` was recently renamed to `struct shobj` (in 3fe0dfd1604f
("gdb: rename struct so_list to shobj")). In hindsight, `solib` would
have been a better name. We have solib.c, the implementations in
solib-*.c, many functions with solib in their name, the solib_loaded /
solib_unloaded observables, etc.
Rename shobj to solib.

This commit is the result of the following actions:
- Running gdb/copyright.py to update all of the copyright headers to
include 2024,
- Manually updating a few files the copyright.py script told me to
update, these files had copyright headers embedded within the
file,
- Regenerating gdbsupport/Makefile.in to refresh it's copyright
date,
- Using grep to find other files that still mentioned 2023. If
these files were updated last year from 2022 to 2023 then I've
updated them this year to 2024.
I'm sure I've probably missed some dates. Feel free to fix them up as
you spot them.

Now that so_list lists are implemented using intrusive_list, it doesn't
really make sense for the element type to be named "_list". Rename to
just `struct shobj` (`struct so` was deemed to be not greppable enough).

A subsequent patch changes so_list to be linked using
intrusive_list. Iterating an intrusive_list yields some references to
the list elements. Convert some functions accepting so_list objects to
take references, to make things easier and more natural. Add const
where possible and convenient.

While working on my other scripts to deal with gdb headers, I noticed
that some files were missing include guards. I wrote a script to add
the missing ones, but found that using the obvious names for the
guards ran into clashes -- for example, gdb/nat/linux-nat.h used
"LINUX_NAT_H", but this was also the script's choice for
gdb/linux-nat.h.
So, I changed the script to normalize all include guards in gdb. This
patch is the result.
As usual the script is available here:
https://github.com/tromey/gdb-refactoring-scripts
Tested by rebuilding; I also ran it through "Fedora-x86_64-m64" on the
buildbot.

This commit applies all changes made after running the gdb/copyright.py
script.
Note that one file was flagged by the script, due to an invalid
copyright header
(gdb/unittests/basic_string_view/element_access/char/empty.cc).
As the file was copied from GCC's libstdc++-v3 testsuite, this commit
leaves this file untouched for the time being; a patch to fix the header
was sent to gcc-patches first.

Update copyright year range in all GDB files.

This changes openp, source_full_path_of, and find_and_open_source to
take a unique_xmalloc_ptr, rather than a char*, as an outgoing
argument type. This simplifies the API, ownership-wise, and allows
for the removal of some cleanups.

There are multiple definitions of the private_thread_info structure
compiled in the same GDB build. Because of the one definition rule, we
need to change this if we want to be able to make them non-POD (e.g. use
std::vector fields). This patch creates a class hierarchy, with
private_thread_info being an abstract base class, and all the specific
implementations inheriting from it.
In order to poison XNEW/xfree for non-POD types, it is also needed to
get rid of the xfree in thread_info::~thread_info, which operates on an
opaque type. This is replaced by thread_info::priv now being a
unique_ptr, which calls the destructor of the private_thread_info
subclass when the thread is being destroyed.
Including gdbthread.h from darwin-nat.h gave these errors:
/Users/simark/src/binutils-gdb/gdb/gdbthread.h:609:3: error: must use 'class' tag to refer to type 'thread_info' in this scope
thread_info *m_thread;
^
class
/usr/include/mach/thread_act.h:240:15: note: class 'thread_info' is hidden by a non-type declaration of 'thread_info' here
kern_return_t thread_info
^
It turns out that there is a thread_info function in the Darwin/XNU/mach API:
http://web.mit.edu/darwin/src/modules/xnu/osfmk/man/thread_info.html
Therefore, I had to add the class keyword at a couple of places in gdbthread.h,
I don't really see a way around it.

-Wwrite-strings flagged a missing cast for example here:
static char *

Since callers are not supposed to free the string returned by these

osabi sniffer, signal handling initializer, 'in_dynsym_resolve_code'
function and nto_set_target function.
(struct nto_target_ops): Put comments inline with struct. Add osabi
sniffer hook. Redefine macros to permit testing/assignment. Remove
nto_ prefix from members.
* nto-tdep.c (nto_find_and_open_solib): Allocate all buffers
dynamically to support arbitrary root paths. Check for basename of
lib in search path and then check for absolute.
(nto_in_dynsym_resolve_code): New function.
(nto_core_sniffer): New function.
(regset_core_fns): Register core sniffer.
(nto_initialize_signals): New function.
(_initialize_nto_tdep): Move signal initialization code to above to
avoid initialization race conditions.
(nto_set_target): New function.
* nto-procfs.c: Minor formatting/indenting changes.
(procfs_is_nto_target): New function.
(procfs_open): Set nto_is_nto_target.
(_initialize_procfs): Ditto. Remove notice_signals() call to avoid
initialization race conditions.
(procfs_create_inferior): Resume inferior after creation.
* i386-nto-tdep.c: Declare i386_nto_target.
(init_i386nto_ops): Initialize i386_nto_target instead of
current_nto_target.
(i386nto_init_abi): Initialize signals. Call nto_set_target. Set
TARGET_SO_IN_DYNSYM_RESOLVE_CODE.
(_initialize_i386nto_tdep): Call init_i386nto_ops. Register osabi sniffer.
