My forthcoming patches for PR other/116613 make much more use of
cloning of pretty_printers than before, so it makes sense as a
preliminary patch for the result of pretty_printer::clone to be a
std::unique_ptr, rather than add more manual uses of "delete".
On doing so, I noticed various other places where naked new/delete is
used for run-time configuration of diagnostics:
* the output format (text vs SARIF)
* client data hooks
* the option manager
* the URLifier
Hence this patch also makes use of std::unique_ptr and ::make_unique for
managing such client policy classes, and also for diagnostic_buffer's
per-format implementations.
Unfortunately we can't directly include <memory> in our internal headers
but instead any of our TUs that make use of std::unique_ptr must #define
INCLUDE_MEMORY before including system.h.
Hence the bulk of this patch is taken up with adding a define of
INCLUDE_MEMORY to hundreds of source files: everything that includes
diagnostic.h or pretty-print.h (and thus anything transitively such as
includers of lto-wrapper.h, c-tree.h, cp-tree.h and rtl-ssa.h).
Thanks to Gaius Mulley for the parts of the patch that regenerated the
m2 files.

when experimenting with m68k plus LRA one of the
changes in the backend is to accept ASHIFTs (not only
MULT) as scale code for address indices. When then not
turning on LRA but using reload those addresses are
presented to it which chokes on them. While reload is
going away the change to make them work doesn't really hurt
(and generally seems useful, as MULT and ASHIFT really are
no different). So just add it.

So this is another nasty latent bug exposed by ext-dce.
Similar to the prior m68k failure it's another problem with how we handle
paradoxical subregs on big endian targets.
In this instance when we remove the hard subregs we take something like:
(subreg:DI (reg:SI 0) 0)
And turn it into
(reg:SI -1)
Which is clearly wrong. (reg:SI 0) is correct.
The transformation happens in alter_subreg, but I really wanted to fix this in
subreg_regno since we could have similar problems in some of the other callers
of subreg_regno.
Unfortunately reload depends on the current behavior of subreg_regno; in the
cases where the return value is an invalid register, the wrong half of a
register pair, etc the resulting bogus value is detected by reload and triggers
reloading of the inner object. So that's the new comment in subreg_regno.
The second best place to fix is alter_subreg which is what this patch does. If
presented with a paradoxical subreg, then the base register number should
always be REGNO (SUBREG_REG (object)). It's just how paradoxicals are designed
to work.
I haven't tried to fix the other places that call subreg_regno. After being
burned by reload, I'm more than a bit worried about unintended fallout.
I must admit I'm surprised we haven't stumbled over this before and that it
didn't fix any failures on the big endian embedded targets.
Boostrapped & regression tested on x86_64, also went through all the embedded
targets in my tester and bootstrapped on m68k & s390x to get some additional
big endian testing.

GCC can emit code between the function label and the .LASANPC label,
making the latter unaligned. Some architectures cannot load unaligned
labels directly and require literal pool entries, which is inefficient.
Move the invocation of asan_function_start to
ASM_OUTPUT_FUNCTION_LABEL, which guarantees that no additional code is
emitted. This allows setting the .LASANPC label alignment to the
respective function alignment.

This patch eliminates the following functions that implicitly used
global_dc's file cache:
extern char_span location_get_source_line (const char *file_path, int line);
extern char_span get_source_file_content (const char *file_path);
extern bool location_missing_trailing_newline (const char *file_path);
in favor of explicitly using a specific file_cache throughout, and only
using global_dc's file_cache in gcc-specific code.
Rather than creating global_dc's file_cache the first time its needed,
this patch simply creates one when a diagnostic_context is initialized,
and eliminates diagnostic_file_cache_init.
No functional change intended.

This is the first in a series of patches to enable discriminator support
in AutoFDO.
This patch switches to tracking discriminators per statement/instruction
instead of per basic block. Tracking per basic block was problematic since
not all statements in a basic block needed a discriminator and, also, later
optimizations could move statements between basic blocks making correlation
during AutoFDO compilation unreliable. Tracking per statement also allows
us to assign different discriminators to multiple function calls in the same
basic block. A subsequent patch will add that support.
The idea of this patch is based on commit 4c311d95cf6d9519c3c20f641cc77af7df491fdf
by Dehao Chen in vendors/google/heads/gcc-4_8 but uses a slightly different
approach. In Dehao's work special (normally unused) location ids and side tables
were used to keep track of locations with discriminators. Things have changed
since then and I don't think we have unused location ids anymore. Instead,
I made discriminators a part of ad-hoc locations.
The difference from Dehao's work also includes support for discriminator
reading/writing in lto streaming and in modules.
Tested on x86_64-pc-linux-gnu.
