- Make all users of CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR reference SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR - Introduce HAS_CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to allow for setting the stack pointer directly, otherwise we use the common calculation. - On some platforms that were using the standard calculation but did not set CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE / CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_ADDR, set them. - On a small number of platforms that were not subtracting GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE do so now via the standard calculation. - CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_OFFSET is now widely unused, so remove it from most board config header files. 2020-01-07mx6cuboxi: enable OF_CONTROL with DM_MMC and DM_USBBaruch Siach1-4/+2
Make first step in DT/DM migration. Enable OF_CONTROL only for the main U-Boot image for now. Remove mmc_init_main() because board_mmc_init() is not called when DM_MMC is enabled. DM_MMC requires DM_GPIO for card-detect to work. That in turn makes gpio request mandatory. Add code to request/free gpios in platform code. MMC devices are now numbered according to DT. The SD card is 1, and eMMC is 2. Account for that in board_mmc_get_env_dev(), BOOT_TARGET_DEVICES, and has_emmc(). DM_MMC requires BLK. However, the (BLK && !DM_USB) combination disables USB_STORAGE. Enable DM_USB to preserve USB functionality. Add also DM_REGULATORS for the USB power controller. This allows us to drop board_ehci_hcd_init() and setup_usb(). Runtime selection of DT is necessary because of the i.MX6QD vs i.MX6SDL incompatibility. DT selection does not rely on GPIOs, since DM_GPIO depends on DT. Instead, we take one "fully featured" DT of each variant. That should be enough to boot from both SD card and eMMC. Since we don't select the exact DT, override the generic show_board_info() that shows the selected DT 'model' field. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2018-07-23mx6cuboxi: Move the default environment for all devicesJon Nettleton1-1/+1
Previously we had stored the environment right after the u-boot.img on the disk. I never liked this because with dtbs being included and such the image could grow in size. Instead we move the environment to be negatively offset from the 1MB mark. Almost all our images start at 4MB's, and most standard images start at 1MB, and all our storage devices are a minimum 1MB. Therefore we can store env there for all classes of devices and have plenty of space in case u-boot.img needs to grow. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. MX6Q/QP IPU operates at 264MHz and MX6DL IPU at 198MHz. When running a SPL target, which supports multiple MX6 variants we cannot properly setup the IPU clock frequency via CONFIG_IPUV3_CLK option as such decision is done in build-time currently. Remove the CONFIG_IPUV3_CLK option and let the IPU clock frequency be configured in run-time on mx6. 2017-09-01configs: Migrate all of the existing USB symbols, except fastbootTom Rini1-1/+0
This syncs all of the currently Kconfig'd symbols out of the headers and into the defconfig files. This has two exceptions, first am335x_evm needs to be converted to DM in SPL and then it can stop undef'ing CONFIG_DM_USB. Leaving this as-is results in a build failure, and without work, run time failure. The other case is am43xx_evm.h and in turn am43xx_evm_usbhost_boot.
