As part of bringing the master branch back in to next, we need to allow for all of these changes to exist here. Reported-by: Jonas Karlman <jonas@kwiboo.se> Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2024-05-19Revert "Merge patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet""Tom Rini1-0/+1
When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. 2021-04-24common: edid: Search for valid timing in extension blockJernej Skrabec1-0/+18
One of my monitors have only 4k@60 timing in base EDID block which is out of range for devices with HDMI 1.4. It turns out that it has additional detailed timings in CTA-861 Extension Block and two of them are appropriate for HDMI 1.4. Add additional search for valid detailed timing in extension block. 2021-04-24common: edid: extract code for detailed timing searchJernej Skrabec1-21/+28
Code which searches for valid detailed timing entry will be used in more places. Extract it. No functional change is made. However, descriptors are casted to edid_detailed_timing instead of edid_monitor_descriptor. Descriptor can be of either type, but since we're interested only in DTD, it is more fitting to cast to edid_detailed_timing. 2021-04-24common: edid: check for digital display earlierJernej Skrabec1-4/+5
When searching for detailed timing in EDID, check for digital display earlier. There is no point parsing other parameters if this flag is not present. 2019-07-29edid: fix edid_get_timing_validate() mode_valid lookupNeil Armstrong1-1/+3
Add a condition to the break in the modes lookup, without this when the first mode is not valid, then edid_get_timing_validate() return an error instead of checking the next modes. 2019-07-29edid: add edid_get_timing_validate() variant to filter out edid modesNeil Armstrong1-3/+19
The original edid_get_timing() function returns the first valid timing, but on some plaforms, we could only supports a subset of the listed monitot's navite timing. Let's introduce a edid_get_timing_validate() adding a mode_valid callback including a private cookie pointer. If the callback returns false, the current timing is discared and the next one is checked. If no valid & supported timings are found, the function would return an error. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2017-05-15edid: Add HDMI flag to timing infoJernej Skrabec1-0/+42
Some DVI monitors don't show anything in HDMI mode since audio stream confuses them. To solve this situation, this commit adds HDMI flag in timing data and sets it accordingly during edid parsing. First existence of extension block is checked. If it exists and it is CEA861 extension, then data blocks are checked for presence of HDMI vendor specific data block. If it is present, HDMI flag is set. Signed-off-by: Jernej Skrabec <jernej.skrabec@siol.net> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2017-05-15edid: Set timings flags according to edidJernej Skrabec1-0/+14

2012-12-11edid: Library of EDID decode and printTom Wai-Hong Tam1-0/+307
This implements a library for accessing EDID data from an LCD panel. This is used to obtain information about the panel such as its resolution and type. This is a tidied-up version of the original code pulled from https://github.com/ynezz/u-boot-edid. The changes we made are: - removed bit fields in the struct; - removed endianness cases in the struct; - fixed some wrong definitions; - fixed to fit 80 columns; - fixed some code styles.
