3 daysaccel: Pass AccelState argument to gdbstub_supported_sstep_flags()Philippe Mathieu-Daudé1-1/+1
In order to have AccelClass methods instrospect their state, we need to pass AccelState by argument. Signed-off-by: Philippe Mathieu-Daudé <philmd@linaro.org> Reviewed-by: Richard Henderson <richard.henderson@linaro.org> Message-Id: <20250703173248.44995-37-philmd@linaro.org>
3 daysaccel: Remove unused MachineState argument of AccelClass::setup_post()Philippe Mathieu-Daudé1-1/+1
This method only accesses xen_domid/xen_domid_restrict, which are both related to the 'accelerator', not the machine. Besides, xen_domid aims to be in Xen AccelState and xen_domid_restrict a xen_domid_restrict QOM property. 3 daysaccel: Propagate AccelState to AccelClass::init_machine()Philippe Mathieu-Daudé1-1/+1
In order to avoid init_machine() to call current_accel(), pass AccelState along. 2025-04-23include/qemu: Remove ifndef CONFIG_USER_ONLY from accel.hRichard Henderson1-6/+4
While setup_post and has_memory will not be used for CONFIG_USER_ONLY, let the struct have constant layout. Reviewed-by: Pierrick Bouvier <pierrick.bouvier@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <richard.henderson@linaro.org>
2023-10-03accel: Declare AccelClass::cpu_common_[un]realize() handlersPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé1-0/+2
Currently accel_cpu_realize() only performs target-specific realization. Introduce the cpu_common_[un]realize fields in the base AccelClass to be able to perform target-agnostic [un]realization of vCPUs. 2023-10-03accel: Introduce accel_cpu_common_unrealize() stubPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé1-0/+6
Prepare the stub for parity with accel_cpu_common_realize(). Signed-off-by: Philippe Mathieu-Daudé <philmd@linaro.org> Message-Id: <20231003123026.99229-5-philmd@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <richard.henderson@linaro.org>
2023-10-03accel: Rename accel_cpu_realize() -> accel_cpu_common_realize()Philippe Mathieu-Daudé1-2/+2
accel_cpu_realize() is a generic function working with CPUs from any target. Rename it using '_common_' to emphasis it is not target specific. Suggested-by: Claudio Fontana <cfontana@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Philippe Mathieu-Daudé <philmd@linaro.org> Message-Id: <20231003123026.99229-4-philmd@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <richard.henderson@linaro.org>
2023-10-03accel: Rename accel_cpu_realizefn() -> accel_cpu_realize()Philippe Mathieu-Daudé1-2/+2
We use the '*fn' suffix for handlers, this is a public method. Drop the suffix. 2023-01-06typedefs: Forward-declare AccelStatePhilippe Mathieu-Daudé1-2/+2
Forward-declare AccelState in "qemu/typedefs.h" so structures using a reference of it (like MachineState in "hw/boards.h") don't have to include "qemu/accel.h". 2022-10-06gdbstub: move sstep flags probing into AccelClassAlex Bennée1-0/+12
The support of single-stepping is very much dependent on support from the accelerator we are using. To avoid special casing in gdbstub move the probing out to an AccelClass function so future accelerators can put their code there. 2022-06-27accel: Introduce current_accel_name()Alexander Graf1-0/+1
We need to fetch the name of the current accelerator in flexible error messages more going forward. Let's create a helper that gives it to us without casting in the target code. 2021-05-10accel-cpu: make cpu_realizefn return a boolClaudio Fontana1-1/+1
overall, all devices' realize functions take an Error **errp, but return void. hw/core/qdev.c code, which realizes devices, therefore does: local_err = NULL; dc->realize(dev, &local_err); if (local_err != NULL) { goto fail; } However, we can improve at least accel_cpu to return a meaningful bool value. 2021-05-10accel: introduce new accessor functionsClaudio Fontana1-0/+13
avoid open coding the accesses to cpu->accel_cpu interfaces, and instead introduce: accel_cpu_instance_init, accel_cpu_realizefn to be used by the targets/ initfn code, and by cpu_exec_realizefn respectively. 2021-02-05accel: replace struct CpusAccel with AccelOpsClassClaudio Fontana1-0/+2
This will allow us to centralize the registration of the cpus.c module accelerator operations (in accel/accel-softmmu.c), and trigger it automatically using object hierarchy lookup from the new accel_init_interfaces() initialization step, depending just on which accelerators are available in the code. Rename all tcg-cpus.c, kvm-cpus.c, etc to tcg-accel-ops.c, kvm-accel-ops.c, etc, matching the object type names.
