Fix all trailing-text-in-parentheses duplicates exposed by previous patch.
Tested on x86_64-linux and aarch64-linux.

This commit is the result of the following actions:
- Running gdb/copyright.py to update all of the copyright headers to
include 2024,
- Manually updating a few files the copyright.py script told me to
update, these files had copyright headers embedded within the
file,
- Regenerating gdbsupport/Makefile.in to refresh it's copyright
date,
- Using grep to find other files that still mentioned 2023. If
these files were updated last year from 2022 to 2023 then I've
updated them this year to 2024.
I'm sure I've probably missed some dates. Feel free to fix them up as
you spot them.

The test-case gdb.python/py-cmd.exp passes, but the handling of the
test_multiline command output looks a bit odd:

What happens is:
- a test_multiline command is issued
- some output is printed, followed by a pagination prompt
- the test-case concludes that pagination occurred, and produces a PASS
- "q\n" is replied to the pagination prompt
- without waiting for response to the "q\n", another test_multiline command is
issued
- in response to the "q\n" we get "Quit\n(gdb) "
- some output is printed, followed by a pagination prompt
- the test-case concludes that there's a valid response to the "q\n", and
produces a PASS, consuming the second pagination prompt, but without a reply.
My conclusion is that the second test_multiline command is unintentional, so fix
this by removing it.
Without it, we have the more straightforward:

This commit is the result of running the gdb/copyright.py script,
which automated the update of the copyright year range for all
source files managed by the GDB project to be updated to include
year 2023.

This commit adds a test that creates a Python command that redefines
itself during its execution. This is to test use-after-free in
execute_command ().
This test needs run with ASan enabled in order to fail when it
should.

The canonical form of 'if' in modern TCL is 'if {} {}'. But there's
still a bunch of places in the testsuite where we make use of the
'then' keyword, and sometimes these get copies into new tests, which
just spreads poor practice.
This commit removes all use of the 'then' keyword from the gdb.python/
test script directory.
There should be no changes in what is tested after this commit.

This commit brings all the changes made by running gdb/copyright.py
as per GDB's Start of New Year Procedure.
For the avoidance of doubt, all changes in this commits were
performed by the script.

As follow-up to this discussion:

... make runto_main not pass no-message to runto. This means that if we
fail to run to main, for some reason, we'll emit a FAIL. This is the
behavior we want the majority of (if not all) the time.
Without this, we rely on tests logging a failure if runto_main fails,
otherwise. They do so in a very inconsisteny mannet, sometimes using
"fail", "unsupported" or "untested". The messages also vary widly.
This patch removes all these messages as well.
Also, remove a few "fail" where we call runto (and not runto_main). by
default (without an explicit no-message argument), runto prints a
failure already. In two places, gdb.multi/multi-re-run.exp and
gdb.python/py-pp-registration.exp, remove "message" passed to runto.
This removes a few PASSes that we don't care about (but FAILs will still
be printed if we fail to run to where we want to). This aligns their
behavior with the rest of the testsuite.

Tom de Vries detected that some python tests were broken as

Factorizes the testing of the help output, by having a single place
that defines the common help trailer and/or prefix messages.

This commit applies all changes made after running the gdb/copyright.py
script.
Note that one file was flagged by the script, due to an invalid
copyright header
(gdb/unittests/basic_string_view/element_access/char/empty.cc).
As the file was copied from GCC's libstdc++-v3 testsuite, this commit
leaves this file untouched for the time being; a patch to fix the header
was sent to gcc-patches first.

A while back I typed "info pretty-printers" with a large number of
printers installed, and I typed "q" to stop the pagination. I noticed
that gdb printed a Python exception in this case.
It seems to me that, instead, quitting pagination (or control-c'ing a
Python command generally) should be handled the same way that gdb
normally handles a quit.
This patch implements this idea by changing gdbpy_handle_exception to
treat PyExc_KeyboardInterrupt specially.

The test loop in test_python_inline_or_multiline was not checking for the
gdb prompt. readline_is_used then reads in the prompt causing it to fail
and the final chunk of tests to be skipped.
Spotted this error because sometimes the gdb prompt does get processed
correctly and the final tests are run, causing it to show up in the
racy tests script output.
Fix by ensuring the prompt is always checked for. To do this the list
style needs reformatting so that variables get expanded.

My last commit fixed a regression that happened when using
inline/multi-line commands for Python/Compile/Guile, but introduced
another regression: it is now not possible to use aliases for the
commands mentioned above. The fix is to almost revert the change I've
made and go back to using the 'struct cmd_list_element *', but at the
same time make sure that we advance the 'cmd_name' variable past all
the whitespace characters after the command name. If, after skipping
the whitespace, we encounter a '\0', it means that the command is not
inline. Otherwise, it is.
This patch also expands the testcase in order to check for aliases and
for trailing whitespace after the command name.

The problem happens because, on cli/cli-script.c:process_next_line,
GDB is not using the command line string to identify which command to
run, but it instead using the 'struct cmd_list_element *' that is
obtained by using the mentioned string. The problem with that is that
the 'struct cmd_list_element *' doesn't have any information on
whether the command issued by the user is a multi-line or inline one.
A multi-line command is a command that will necessarily be composed of
more than 1 line. For example:
(gdb) if 1
>python
>print ('hello')
>end
>end
As can be seen in the example above, the 'python' command actually
"opens" a new command line (represented by the change in the
indentation) that will then be used to enter Python code. OTOH, an
inline command is a command that is "self-contained" in a single line,
for example:
(gdb) if 1
>python print ('hello')
>end
This Python command is a one-liner, and therefore there is no other
Python code that can be entered for this same block. There is also no
change in the indentation.
So, the fix is somewhat simple: we have to revert the change and use
the full command line string passed to process_next_line in order to
identify whether we're dealing with a multi-line or an inline command.
This commit does just that. As can be seen, this regression also
affects other languages, like guile or the compile framework. To make
things clearer, I decided to create a new helper function responsible
for identifying a non-inline command.
Testcase is attached.

I noticed more occurrences of improper test names. The rather mechanical,
tedious and large patch below addresses, hopefully, most of the leftover cases.
As usual, another pair of eyes is welcome to check if missed something or did
an invalid substitution.

test names that start with an uppercase letter. Test names should start with
lowercase unless it starts with the name of a technology, architecture, ISA
etc.
This first patch addresses cases of test names output explicitly via xfail,
kfail, kpass, fail, pass, unsupported, untested and also names set with the

User-defined commands that have empty bodies weren't being shown because
the print function returned too soon. Now, it prints the command's name
before checking if it has any body at all. This also fixes the same
problem on "show user <myemptycommand>", which wasn't being printed due
to a similar reason.

The completion feature and other features on readline depend on the
readline library. However, readline library is not always used, for
example, running testsuite like
make check RUNTESTFLAGS="--host_board=local-remote-host"
the input stream is not a tty, and GDB doesn't use readline library
as a result.
This patch is to skip tests on completion and readline if
'show editing' is off, which means readline isn't used. Note that
some tests in gdb.base/completion.exp test command complete, which
isn't related to readline, so these tests aren't affected by readline
library. This patch also moves these tests up, run them
unconditionally, and run the rest if readline library is used.
