Otherwise hotplugging the PEX doesn't work at all since the driver detects the link state at probe time. Simply replacing the two tests of haslink with a register read is enough to fix it. Tested on kirkwood with repeated plug/unplug of the link partner. Signed-off-by:

The number of ports is probed by counting the number of available child nodes. Later on, the registration of a port can fail and cause a mismatch between the ->nports counter and registered ports. This commit adds support for Message Signaled Interrupts in the Marvell PCIe host controller. The work is very simple: it simply gets a reference to the msi_chip associated to the PCIe controller thanks to the msi-parent DT property, and stores this reference in the pci_bus structure. This commit introduces the support for the MSI interrupts in the armada-370-xp interrupt controller driver. It registers an MSI chip to the MSI chip registry, which will be used by the Marvell PCIe host controller driver. The MSI interrupts use the 16 high doorbells, and are therefore notified using IRQ1 of the main interrupt controller. Signed-off-by:

Instead of using of_iomap(), we now use of_address_to_resource(), request_mem_region() and ioremap(). This allows the corresponding I/O regions to be properly requested and visible in /proc/iomem. The main motivation for this change is that the introduction of the MSI support requires us to get the physical address of the main interrupt controller registers, so we will need the corresponding 'struct resource' anyway. We also take this opportunity to change a panic() to BUG_ON(), in order to be consistent with the rest of the driver. Signed-off-by:

Remove NEED_MACH_GPIO_H config select option for ARCH_DAVINCI to start using gpiolib interface for davinci platforms. This makes it easier to use the gpio driver on other platforms as it breaks dependency on mach-davinci. Latencies for gpio_get/set APIs will increase. On measurement, latency was found to have increased by 18 microsecond with gpiolib API as compared to inline APIs. Measurement was done on DA850 EVM for gpio_get_value() API by taking the printk timing across the call with interrupts disabled. inline gpio API with interrupt disabled [ 29.734337] before gpio_get [ 29.736847] after gpio_get Time difference 0.00251 gpio library with interrupt disabled [ 272.876763] before gpio_get [ 272.879291] after gpio_get Time difference 0.002528 Latency increased by (0.002528 - 0.00251) = 18 microsecond. Modify DaVinci GPIO driver to become a platform device driver. The driver does not have platform driver structure or a probe. Instead, it has pure_initcall function for initialization. The platform specific informaiton is obtained using the DaVinci specific davinci_soc_info structure. This is a problem for Device Tree (DT) implementation. As a first stage of DT conversion, we implement a probe. Additional notes: - The driver registration happens as postcore_initcall. These last few are the first part of a set from Lars-Peter Clausen who has been taking a closer look at our removal paths and buffer handling than anyone has for quite some time.

Adding the number of bios in a remapped request to 'block_rq_remap' tracepoint. Request remapper clones bios in a request to track the completion status of each bio. So the number of bios can be useful information for investigation. Users have been complaining of the uuid tree stuff warning that there is no uuid root when trying to do snapshot operations. This is because if you mount -o ro we will not create the uuid tree. But then if you mount -o rw,remount we will still not create it and then any subsequent snapshot/subvol operations you try to do will fail gloriously. Fix this by creating the uuid_root on remount rw if it was not already there. Thanks, Signed-off-by:

btrfs_ioctl_file_extent_same() uses __put_user_unaligned() to copy some data back to it's argument struct. Unfortunately, not all architectures provide __put_user_unaligned(), so compiles break on them if btrfs is selected. Instead, just copy the whole struct in / out at the start and end of operations, respectively. Signed-off-by:

Commit 2bc55652 (Btrfs: don't update atime on RO subvolumes) ensures that the access time of an inode is not updated when the inode lives in a read-only subvolume. However, if a directory on a read-only subvolume is accessed, the atime is updated. This results in a write operation to a read-only subvolume. I believe that access times should never be updated on read-only subvolumes.
