This helps with running Cockpit as root. This is highly discouraged, but
apparently people do it.

  xdg-icon-resource calls
* Patch linux.py to NOT use xdg-mime and xdg-desktop-menu because
  they hard-code gnome_app_dir etc which cannot be overridden,
  and replace with install calls

These aren't being shipped any more.

unrar is now loaded dynamically, not via a shipped extension.

Also adjust get-orig-source to not use rm's -f option, to make it
obvious when a file that we want to remove ceases to exist.
