fix: restore GCC 4.7 compatibility

I forgot that GCC 4.7 does not support generalized C++11 attributes. I doubt
any Rumur users are still using GCC 4.7, but it seems unnecessarily petty to any
who are to break GCC 4.7 support just for an assertion.
