2019-04-30MdePkg: Add PcdSpeculationBarrierTypeMichael D Kinney1-0/+8
Add gEfiMdePkgTokenSpaceGuid.PcdSpeculationBarrierType that uses the PCD type FixedAtBuild. This performs a build time selection for the type of speculation barrier to use in the BaseLib function SpeculationBarrier(). The recommended speculation barrier for x86 is LFENCE and this is the default value for this PCD. x86 CPUs that do not support LFENCE must select one of the other supported values which includes CPUID and nothing. Removing rules for Ipf sources file: * Remove the source file which path with "ipf" and also listed in [Sources.IPF] section of INF file. * Remove the source file which listed in [Components.IPF] section of DSC file and not listed in any other [Components] section. * Remove the embedded Ipf code for MDE_CPU_IPF. Removing rules for Inf file: * Remove IPF from VALID_ARCHITECTURES comments. * Remove DXE_SAL_DRIVER from LIBRARY_CLASS in [Defines] section. * Remove the INF which only listed in [Components.IPF] section in DSC. * Remove statements from [BuildOptions] that provide IPF specific flags. * Remove any IPF sepcific sections. 2015-11-11MdePkg: Add more DataBits support to Port80 outputLiming Gao1-0/+0
The BasePostCodeLibPort80 instance just prints UINT8 to IoPort 80. Some boards may support 16bit or 32bit. To support them, new PCD PcdPort80DataWidth is introduced to specify the width of data bits to Port80. 5. Add PACKAGE_UNI_FILE UNI file that contains the localized Abstract and Description of a package and localized strings associated with PCDs. a. Addresses an information gap between DEC files and the UEFI Distribution Packaging Specification XML schema b. There will be an associated update to UPT in BaseTools to consume PACKAGE_UNI_FILE and associated UNI file during UDP creation that performs the DEC -> XML conversion. c. There will be an associated update to UPT in BaseTools to produce PACKAGE_UNI_FILE and associated UNI file during UDP installation that performs the XML -> DEC conversion. 6. Add Package Extra UNI file that provides the localized Name of a package. a. [UserExtensions.TianoCore."ExtraFiles"] provides an easy method for a package to specify extra files to be added to a UDP without having to list the files in the UPT package information data file. b. There will be an associated update to UPT in BaseTools to package up files listed in [UserExtensions.TianoCore."ExtraFiles"] during UDP creation. c. UNI file contains localized name of a package to go along with the localized Abstract and Description from the PACKAGE_UNI_FILE.
