2022-11-06ArmPlatformPkg: Retire NorFlashDxe driverArd Biesheuvel1-6/+0
The NorFlashDxe driver in ArmPlatformPkg was shared between development platforms built by ARM Ltd, and virtual platforms that were once modeled after Versatile Express, but have very little in common with actual bare metal implementations. Both sides have migrated to a domain specific version of the driver, so we can retire the old one. This patch fixes the following Ecc reported error: There should be no unnecessary inclusion of library classes in the INF file This comes with the additional information: "The Library Class [TimeBaseLib] is not used in any platform" "The Library Class [PL011UartClockLib] is not used in any platform" "The Library Class [PL011UartLib] is not used in any platform" Indeed, the PL011SerialPortLib module requires the PL011UartClockLib and PL011UartLib libraries. The PL031RealTimeClockLib module requires the TimeBaseLib library. ArmPlatformPkg/ArmPlatformPkg.dsc builds the two modules, but doesn't build the required libraries. 2020-05-05ArmPlatformPkg: remove PL180 SD controller driverArd Biesheuvel1-1/+0
The PL180 SD host controller driver is only used on emulated ARM platforms, uses an obsolete version of the MMC host protocol and does not adhere to the UEFI driver model. It has been moved into edk2-platforms alongside the only platforms that use it, so we can drop it from the EDK2 core repository. 2018-04-23ArmPlatformPkg: New DP500/DP550/DP650 GOP driverGirish Pathak1-1/+3
This change adds support for the ARM Mali DP500/DP500/DP650 display processors using the GOP protocol. It has been tested on FVP base models + DP550 support. This change adds platform independant LcdHwLib library. A corresponding platform specific library will be submitted to edk-platforms/Platform/ARM/VExpressPkg. This change does not modify functionality provided by PL111 or HDLCD. This LcdHwLib implementation should be suitable for those platforms that implement ARM Mali DP500/DP550/DP650 replacing PL111/HDLCD. Only graphics layer of the ARM Mali DP is configured for rendering the RGB/BGR format frame buffer to satisfy the UEFI GOP requirements Other layers e.g. video layers are not configured. Create a new LcdGraphicsOutputDxe driver from the existing sources that takes its hardware abstractions from a LcdHwLib library instance rather than from a .c file linked directly. As pointed out by Eugene, the ArmPlatformPkg implementation of PeiServicesTablePointerLib violates the PI sec, since it uses ArmPlatformGlobalVariableLib to store the PEI services table pointer rather than the thread ID cpu registers as the spec requires. So instead, move to the ArmPkg version of this library, which does adhere to the PI spec. 2015-07-28ArmPkg: split off ArmGicArchLib from ArmGicLibArd Biesheuvel1-0/+1
The current implementation of ArmGicGetSupportedArchRevision () that is used by all ARM platforms is entirely stateless (in order to support being executed from flash) so it needs to interrogate the hardware for the supported GIC revision upon each invocation. However, this statelessness is only needed for SEC type modules; in all other cases, we could easily determine the GIC revision once, and store the result in a global variable. In preparation of having separate early and normal versions, this patch introduces the ArmGicArchLib library class and default implementation, and moves the existing ArmGicGetSupportedArchRevision () into it. Use the library libdt from the Device Tree Compiler project. The used version is from Wednesday 22nd August 2012 (commit: 8716901d2215a3) The Device Tree Compiler project is under dual BSD/GPL license (it means the license is either BSD or GPL). The BSD license is the license that fits to the Tianocore contribution requirements. The use of libfdt into Tianocore has been authorised by David Gibson the author of libfdt and its current maintainer Jon Loeliger (email thread on 7th September 2011). 2012-05-02ArmPlatformPkg: Introduced 'ArmPlatformSecLib'oliviermartin1-0/+1
The function only used in Secure Firmware used to be mixed with the Non-Secure/Normal functions in ArmPlatformLib. When the Secure Firmware was not required for some platforms (eg: BeagleBoard), these functions were empty functions. This new interface has been created to clean the ArmPlatformLib interface between the SEC and PEI phases. 2012-03-15ARM Packages: Added the NULL implementation of CpuExceptionHandlerLiboliviermartin1-0/+1
This NULL implementation should not affect the existing code flow and avoid the builds to be broken by a missing dependency. In a longer term, an implementation of CpuExceptionHandlerLib should be provided for ARM architecture.
