2017-04-03iotests: Improve image-clear tests on non-aligned imageEric Blake1-12/+43
Tweak 097 and 176 to operate on an image that is not cluster-aligned, to give further coverage of clearing out an entire image, including the recent fix to eliminate the difference between fast path (97) and slow (176) for qcow2. Also tested on qcow (97 only, since qcow lacks snapshots). 2017-04-03iotests: fix 097 when run with qcowDaniel P. Berrange1-121/+4
The previous commit: commit a3e1505daec31ef56f0489f8c8fff1b8e4ca92bd Author: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> Date: Mon Dec 5 09:49:34 2016 -0600 qcow2: Don't strand clusters near 2G intervals during commit extended the 097 test case so that it did two passes, once with an internal snapshot, once without. qcow (v1) does not support internal snapshots, so this change broke test 097 when run against qcow. This splits 097 in two, creating a new 176 that tests the internal snapshot codepath, effectively putting 097 back to its content before the above commit. 2016-12-06qcow2: Don't strand clusters near 2G intervals during commitEric Blake1-66/+183
The qcow2_make_empty() function is reached during 'qemu-img commit', in order to clear out ALL clusters of an image. However, if the image cannot use the fast code path (true if the image is format 0.10, or if the image contains a snapshot), the cluster size is larger than 512, and the image is larger than 2G in size, then our choice of sector_step causes problems. Since it is not cluster aligned, but qcow2_discard_clusters() silently ignores an unaligned head or tail, we are leaving clusters allocated. Enhance the testsuite to expose the flaw, and patch the problem by ensuring our step size is aligned. 2015-09-11opts: produce valid command line in qemu_opts_printKővágó, Zoltán1-8/+8
This will let us print options in a format that the user would actually write it on the command line (foo=bar, baz=asd, etc=def), without prepending a spurious comma at the beginning of the list, or quoting values unnecessarily. This patch provides the following changes: * write and id=, if the option has an id * do not print separator before the first element * do not quote string arguments * properly escape commas (,) for QEMU Signed-off-by: Kővágó, Zoltán <DirtY.iCE.hu@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Markus Armbruster <armbru@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Stefan Hajnoczi <stefanha@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Marc-André Lureau <marcandre.lureau@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Michael Tokarev <mjt@tls.msk.ru>

2014-11-03iotests: Add test for backing-chain commitsMax Reitz1-0/+119
Add a test for qemu-img commit on backing chains with more than two images. This test also checks whether the top image is emptied (unless this is prevented by specifying either -d or -b) and does therefore not work for qed and vmdk which requires it to be separate from 020.
