2021-01-20iotests: define group in each iotestVladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy1-0/+1
We are going to drop group file. Define group in tests as a preparatory step. The patch is generated by cd tests/qemu-iotests grep '^[0-9]\{3\} ' group | while read line; do file=$(awk '{print $1}' <<< "$line"); groups=$(sed -e 's/^... //' <<< "$line"); awk "NR==2{print \"# group: $groups\"}1" $file > tmp; cat tmp > $file; done Signed-off-by: Vladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy <vsementsov@virtuozzo.com> Reviewed-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> Message-Id: <20210116134424.82867-7-vsementsov@virtuozzo.com> Signed-off-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com>

It's been a while since we got rid of the sector-based bdrv_read and bdrv_write (commit 2e11d756); let's finish the job on a few remaining comments. Quoting cache mode is not needed, and most tests use unquoted values. Unify all test to use the same style. Message-id: 20190827173432.7656-1-nsoffer@redhat.com Signed-off-by: Nir Soffer <nsoffer@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Max Reitz <mreitz@redhat.com>
2019-05-21tests/qemu-iotests: Remove the "_supported_os Linux" line from many testsThomas Huth1-1/+0
A lot of tests run fine on FreeBSD and macOS, too - the limitation to Linux here was likely just copied-and-pasted from other tests. Thus remove the "_supported_os Linux" line from tests that run successful in our CI pipelines on FreeBSD and macOS. 2019-03-08qemu-iotests: Improve portability by searching bash in the $PATHPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé1-1/+1
Bash is not always installed as /bin/bash. In particular on OpenBSD, the package installs it in /usr/local/bin. Use the 'env' shebang to search bash in the $PATH. Running git grep '\$here' tests/qemu-iotests has 0 hits, which means we are setting a variable that has no use. It appears that commit e8f8624d removed the last use. 2016-05-12block: enable testing of LUKS driver with block I/O testsDaniel P. Berrange1-0/+4
This adds support for testing the LUKS driver with the block I/O test framework. cd tests/qemu-io-tests ./check -luks A handful of test cases are modified to work with luks - 004 - whitelist luks format - 012 - use TEST_IMG_FILE instead of TEST_IMG for file ops - 048 - use TEST_IMG_FILE instead of TEST_IMG for file ops. don't assume extended image contents is all zeros, explicitly initialize with zeros Make file size smaller to avoid having to decrypt 1 GB of data. - 052 - don't assume initial image contents is all zeros, explicitly initialize with zeros - 100 - don't assume initial image contents is all zeros, explicitly initialize with zeros With this patch applied, the results are as follows: Passed: 001 002 003 004 005 008 009 010 011 012 021 032 043 047 048 049 052 087 100 134 143 Failed: 033 120 140 145 Skipped: 007 013 014 015 017 018 019 020 022 023 024 025 026 027 028 029 030 031 034 035 036 037 038 039 040 041 042 043 044 045 046 047 049 050 051 053 054 055 056 057 058 059 060 061 062 063 064 065 066 067 068 069 070 071 072 073 074 075 076 077 078 079 080 081 082 083 084 085 086 087 088 089 090 091 092 093 094 095 096 097 098 099 101 102 103 104 105 107 108 109 110 111 112 113 114 115 116 117 118 119 121 122 123 124 128 129 130 131 132 133 134 135 136 137 138 139 141 142 144 146 148 150 152 The reasons for the failed tests are: - 033 - needs adapting to use image opts syntax with blkdebug and test image in order to correctly set align property - 120 - needs adapting to use correct -drive syntax for luks - 140 - needs adapting to use correct -drive syntax for luks - 145 - needs adapting to use correct -drive syntax for luks The vast majority of skipped tests are exercising code that is qcow2 specific, though a couple could probably be usefully enabled for luks too. 2014-10-03qemu-iotests: Fix supported cache modes for 052Kevin Wolf1-2/+3
The requirement for this test case is really "no O_DIRECT", because the temporary snapshot for BDRV_O_SNAPSHOT is created in /tmp, which often is a tmpfs. Commit f210a83c ('qemu-iotests: Add _default_cache_mode and _supported_cache_modes') turned the restriction into writethrough-only, but that's not really necessary. Allow to run the test for any non-O_DIRECT cache modes, and use the global default of writeback if no cache mode is specified. 2014-02-09qemu-iotests: change _supported_proto to file for various testsPeter Lieven1-1/+1
all these tests do anything of the following and thus fail with any protocol other than file: - the tests use rm, cp or mv shell commands which only work on file - the tests use qcow2.py - the images construct new filenames (e.g. backing file names) and the logic is broken for anything else than file Signed-off-by: Peter Lieven <pl@kamp.de> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>

2013-09-25qemu-iotests: Do not execute 052 with -nocacheMax Reitz1-0/+1
