kvm_arm_init_debug() used to be called several times on a SMP system as
kvm_arch_init_vcpu() calls it. Move the call to kvm_arch_init() to make
sure it will be called only once; otherwise it will overwrite pointers
to memory allocated with the previous call and leak it.

In Armv8.6, a new AArch32 ID register ID_DFR1 is defined; implement
it. We don't have any CPUs with features that they need to advertise
here yet, but plumbing in the ID register gives it the right name
when debugging and will help in future when we do add a CPU that
has non-zero ID_DFR1 fields.

Because we weren't setting this flag, our probe of ID_AA64ZFR0
was always returning zero. This also obviates the adjustment
of ID_AA64PFR0, which had sanitized the SVE field.
The effects of the bug are not visible, because the only thing that
ID_AA64ZFR0 is used for within qemu at present is tcg translation.
The other tests for SVE within KVM are via ID_AA64PFR0.SVE.

The bitmap need only hold 15 bits; bitmap is over-complicated.
We can simplify operations quite a bit with plain logical ops.
The introduction of SVE_VQ_POW2_MAP eliminates the need for
looping in order to search for powers of two. Simply perform
the logical ops and use count leading or trailing zeros as
required to find the result.

Currently we give all the v7-and-up CPUs a PMU with 4 counters. This
means that we don't provide the 6 counters that are required by the
Arm BSA (Base System Architecture) specification if the CPU supports
the Virtualization extensions.
Instead of having a single PMCR_NUM_COUNTERS, make each CPU type
specify the PMCR reset value (obtained from the appropriate TRM), and
use the 'N' field of that value to define the number of counters
provided.
This means that we now supply 6 counters instead of 4 for:
Cortex-A9, Cortex-A15, Cortex-A53, Cortex-A57, Cortex-A72,
Cortex-A76, Neoverse-N1, '-cpu max'
This CPU goes from 4 to 8 counters:
A64FX
These CPUs remain with 4 counters:
Cortex-A7, Cortex-A8
This CPU goes down from 4 to 3 counters:
Cortex-R5
Note that because we now use the PMCR reset value of the specific
implementation, we no longer set the LC bit out of reset. This has
an UNKNOWN value out of reset for all cores with any AArch32 support,
so guest software should be setting it anyway if it wants it.
This change was originally landed in commit f7fb73b8cdd3f7 (during
the 6.0 release cycle) but was then reverted by commit
21c2dd77a6aa517 before that release because it did not work with KVM.
This version fixes that by creating the scratch vCPU in
kvm_arm_get_host_cpu_features() with the KVM_ARM_VCPU_PMU_V3 feature
if KVM supports it, and then only asking KVM for the PMCR_EL0 value
if the vCPU has a PMU.

Replace a config-time define with a compile time condition
define (compatible with clang and gcc) that must be declared prior to
its usage. This avoids having a global configure time define, but also
prevents from bad usage, if the config header wasn't included before.
This can help to make some code independent from qemu too.

When we're using KVM, the PSCI implementation is provided by the
kernel, but QEMU has to tell the guest about it via the device tree.
Currently we look at the KVM_CAP_ARM_PSCI_0_2 capability to determine
if the kernel is providing at least PSCI 0.2, but if the kernel
provides a newer version than that we will still only tell the guest
it has PSCI 0.2. (This is fairly harmless; it just means the guest
won't use newer parts of the PSCI API.)
The kernel exposes the specific PSCI version it is implementing via
the ONE_REG API; use this to report in the dtb that the PSCI
implementation is 1.0-compatible if appropriate. (The device tree
binding currently only distinguishes "pre-0.2", "0.2-compatible" and
"1.0-compatible".)

Add basic support for Pointer Authentication when running a KVM
guest and that the host supports it, loosely based on the SVE
support.
Although the feature is enabled by default when the host advertises
it, it is possible to disable it by setting the 'pauth=off' CPU

as it is now common to both TCG and KVM.

is the check for its 'ras' property. Use the new acpi_ghes_present()
function to check whether we should report memory errors via
acpi_ghes_record_errors().
This avoids a link error if QEMU was built without support for the

This change turned out to be a bit half-baked, and doesn't
work with KVM, which fails with the error:
"qemu-system-aarch64: Failed to retrieve host CPU features"
because KVM does not allow accessing of the PMCR_EL0 value in
the scratch "query CPU ID registers" VM unless we have first
set the KVM_ARM_VCPU_PMU_V3 feature on the VM.

cc->do_interrupt is in theory a TCG callback used in accel/tcg only,
to prepare the emulated architecture to take an interrupt as defined
in the hardware specifications,
but in reality the _do_interrupt style of functions in targets are
also occasionally reused by KVM to prepare the architecture state in a
similar way where userspace code has identified that it needs to
deliver an exception to the guest.
In the case of ARM, that includes:
1) the vcpu thread got a SIGBUS indicating a memory error,
and we need to deliver a Synchronous External Abort to the guest to
let it know about the error.
2) the kernel told us about a debug exception (breakpoint, watchpoint)
but it is not for one of QEMU's own gdbstub breakpoints/watchpoints
so it must be a breakpoint the guest itself has set up, therefore
we need to deliver it to the guest.
So in order to reuse code, the same arm_do_interrupt function is used.
This is all fine, but we need to avoid calling it using the callback
registered in CPUClass, since that one is now TCG-only.
Fortunately this is easily solved by replacing calls to
CPUClass::do_interrupt() with explicit calls to arm_do_interrupt().

generalize the start-powered-off property so that it can be used by them.
Note that ARMv7MState also has a property of the same name but this patch

Injecting external data abort through KVM might trigger
an issue on kernels that do not get updated to include the KVM fix.
For those and aarch32 guests, the injected abort gets misconfigured
to be an implementation defined exception. This leads to the guest

External Abort(SEA). Then host kernel gets an APEI notification and calls
memory_failure() to unmapped the affected page in stage 2, finally
returns to guest.
Guest continues to access the PG_hwpoison page, it will trap to KVM as
stage2 fault, then a SIGBUS_MCEERR_AR synchronous signal is delivered to
Qemu, Qemu records this error address into guest APEI GHES memory and
notifes guest using Synchronous-External-Abort(SEA).
In order to inject a vSEA, we introduce the kvm_inject_arm_sea() function
in which we can setup the type of exception and the syndrome information.
When switching to guest, the target vcpu will jump to the synchronous
external abort vector table entry.
The ESR_ELx.DFSC is set to synchronous external abort(0x10), and the
ESR_ELx.FnV is set to not valid(0x1), which will tell guest that FAR is
not valid and hold an UNKNOWN value. These values will be set to KVM
register structures through KVM_SET_ONE_REG IOCTL.

As such this should be the last step of sync to avoid potential overwriting

The isar_feature_aa32_pan and isar_feature_aa32_ats1e1 functions
are supposed to be testing fields in ID_MMFR3; but a cut-and-paste
error meant we were looking at MVFR0 instead.
Fix the functions to look at the right register; this requires
us to move at least id_mmfr3 to the ARMISARegisters struct; we
choose to move all the ID_MMFRn registers for consistency.

Now we have isar_feature test functions that look at fields in the
ID_AA64DFR0_EL1 and ID_DFR0 ID registers, add the code that reads
these register values from KVM so that the checks behave correctly
when we're using KVM.
No isar_feature function tests ID_AA64DFR1_EL1 or DBGDIDR yet, but we
add it to maintain the invariant that every field in the
ARMISARegisters struct is populated for a KVM CPU and can be relied
on. This requirement isn't actually written down yet, so add a note
to the relevant comment.

When a VM is stopped (such as when it's paused) guest virtual time
should stop counting. Otherwise, when the VM is resumed it will
experience time jumps and its kernel may report soft lockups. Not
counting virtual time while the VM is stopped has the side effect
of making the guest's time appear to lag when compared with real
time, and even with time derived from the physical counter. For
this reason, this change, which is enabled by default, comes with
a KVM CPU feature allowing it to be disabled, restoring legacy
behavior.
This patch only provides the implementation of the virtual time
adjustment. A subsequent patch will provide the CPU property
allowing the change to be enabled and disabled.

Add the missing GENERIC_TIMER feature to kvm64 cpus.
We don't currently use these registers when KVM is enabled, but it's
probably best we add the feature flag for consistency and potential
future use. There's also precedent, as we add the PMU feature flag to
KVM enabled guests, even though we don't use those registers either.
This change was originally posted as a hunk of a different, never
merged patch from Bijan Mottahedeh.

Allow cpu 'host' to enable SVE when it's available, unless the
user chooses to disable it with the added 'sve=off' cpu property.
Also give the user the ability to select vector lengths with the
sve<N> properties. We don't adopt 'max' cpu's other sve property,
sve-max-vq, because that property is difficult to use with KVM.
That property assumes all vector lengths in the range from 1 up
to and including the specified maximum length are supported, but
there may be optional lengths not supported by the host in that
range. With KVM one must be more specific when enabling vector
lengths.

Extend the SVE vq map initialization and validation with KVM's
supported vector lengths when KVM is enabled. In order to determine
and select supported lengths we add two new KVM functions for getting
and setting the KVM_REG_ARM64_SVE_VLS pseudo-register.
This patch has been co-authored with Richard Henderson, who reworked
the target/arm/cpu64.c changes in order to push all the validation and
auto-enabling/disabling steps into the finalizer, resulting in a nice
LOC reduction.

kvm_arm_create_scratch_host_vcpu() takes a struct kvm_vcpu_init
parameter. Rather than just using it as an output parameter to
pass back the preferred target, use it also as an input parameter,
allowing a caller to pass a selected target if they wish and to
also pass cpu features. If the caller doesn't want to select a
target they can pass -1 for the target which indicates they want
to use the preferred target and have it passed back like before.

Enable SVE in the KVM guest when the 'max' cpu type is configured
and KVM supports it. KVM SVE requires use of the new finalize
vcpu ioctl, so we add that now too. For starters SVE can only be
turned on or off, getting all vector lengths the host CPU supports
when on. We'll add the other SVE CPU properties in later patches.
