2015-09-11tlb: Add "ifetch" argument to cpu_mmu_index()Benjamin Herrenschmidt1-1/+1
This is set to true when the index is for an instruction fetch translation. The core get_page_addr_code() sets it, as do the SOFTMMU_CODE_ACCESS acessors. All targets ignore it for now, and all other callers pass "false". This will allow targets who wish to split the mmu index between instruction and data accesses to do so. A subsequent patch will do just that for PowerPC. 2015-08-18target-alpha: Use separate TCGv temporaries for the shadow registersRichard Henderson1-1/+2
This avoids having to manually swap them around when swapping to and from PALmode. We simply encode the shadow registers into the translation. The VMStateDescription version changes, because the meaning of "shadow" changes in the save file when in PALmode. It would be possible to fix this, but I don't think it's worth the effort. 2015-07-09cpu-exec: Purge all uses of ENV_GET_CPU()Peter Crosthwaite1-1/+1
Remove un-needed usages of ENV_GET_CPU() by converting the APIs to use CPUState pointers and retrieving the env_ptr as minimally needed. 2015-01-20exec.c: Drop TARGET_HAS_ICE define and checksPeter Maydell1-2/+0
The TARGET_HAS_ICE #define is intended to indicate whether a target-* guest CPU implementation supports the breakpoint handling. However, all our guest CPUs have that support (the only two which do not define TARGET_HAS_ICE are unicore32 and openrisc, and in both those cases the bp support is present and the lack of the #define is just a bug). So remove the #define entirely: all new guest CPU support should include breakpoint handling as part of the basic implementation. 2013-07-09linux-user: Move cpu_clone_regs() and cpu_set_tls() into linux-userPeter Maydell1-16/+0
The functions cpu_clone_regs() and cpu_set_tls() are not purely CPU related -- they are specific to the TLS ABI for a a particular OS. Move them into the linux-user/ tree where they belong. target-lm32 had entirely unused implementations, since it has no linux-user target; just drop them. 2013-06-28cpu: Turn cpu_unassigned_access() into a CPUState hookAndreas Färber1-3/+3
Use it for all targets, but be careful not to pass invalid CPUState. cpu_single_env can be NULL, e.g. on Xen. Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de>
2013-03-12cpu: Replace do_interrupt() by CPUClass::do_interrupt methodAndreas Färber1-1/+0
This removes a global per-target function and thus takes us one step closer to compiling multiple targets into one executable. It will also allow to override the interrupt handling for certain CPU families. Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de>
2013-03-12cpu: Move halted and interrupt_request fields to CPUStateAndreas Färber1-3/+1

2011-10-08target-alpha: Add high-resolution access to wall clock and an alarm.Richard Henderson1-0/+4
The alarm is a fully general one-shot time comparator, which will be usable under Linux as a hrtimer source. It's much more flexible than the RTC source available on real hardware. The wall clock allows the guest access to the host timekeeping. Much like the KVM wall clock source for other guests. Both are accessed via the PALcode Cserve entry point.
