2021-09-27qapi: Convert simple union TpmTypeOptions to flat oneMarkus Armbruster1-2/+22
Simple unions predate flat unions. Having both complicates the QAPI schema language and the QAPI generator. We haven't been using simple unions in new code for a long time, because they are less flexible and somewhat awkward on the wire. To prepare for their removal, convert simple union TpmTypeOptions to an equivalent flat one, with existing enum TpmType replacing implicit enum TpmTypeOptionsKind. Adds some boilerplate to the schema, which is a bit ugly, but a lot easier to maintain than the simple union feature. 2021-08-26qapi: make 'if' condition strings simple identifiersMarc-André Lureau1-9/+9
Change the 'if' condition strings to be C-agnostic. It will accept '[A-Z][A-Z0-9_]*' identifiers. This allows to express configuration conditions in other languages (Rust or Python for ex) or other more suitable forms. 2020-08-03schemas: Add vim modelineAndrea Bolognani1-0/+1
The various schemas included in QEMU use a JSON-based format which is, however, strictly speaking not valid JSON. As a consequence, when vim tries to apply syntax highlight rules for JSON (as guessed from the file name), the result is an unreadable mess which mostly consist of red markers pointing out supposed errors in, well, pretty much everything. Using Python syntax highlighting produces much better results, and in fact these files already start with specially-formatted comments that instruct Emacs to process them as if they were Python files. 2020-02-02tpm_spapr: Support TPM for ppc64 using CRQ based interfaceStefan Berger1-3/+3
Implement support for TPM on ppc64 by implementing the vTPM CRQ interface as a frontend. It can use the tpm_emulator driver backend with the external swtpm. The Linux vTPM driver for ppc64 works with this emulation. This TPM emulator also handles the TPM 2 case. 2018-01-29tpm: add CRB deviceMarc-André Lureau1-2/+3
tpm_crb is a device for TPM 2.0 Command Response Buffer (CRB) Interface as defined in TCG PC Client Platform TPM Profile (PTP) Specification Family “2.0” Level 00 Revision 01.03 v22. The PTP allows device implementation to switch between TIS and CRB model at run time, but given that CRB is a simpler device to implement, I chose to implement it as a different device. The device doesn't implement other locality than 0 for now (my laptop TPM doesn't either, so I assume this isn't so bad) Tested with some success with Linux upstream and Windows 10, seabios & modified ovmf. The device is recognized and correctly transmit command/response with passthrough & emu. However, we are missing PPI ACPI part atm. 2017-10-13tpm: Added support for TPM emulatorAmarnath Valluri1-3/+18
This change introduces a new TPM backend driver that can communicate with swtpm(software TPM emulator) using unix domain socket interface. QEMU talks to the TPM emulator using QEMU's socket-based chardev backend device. Swtpm uses two Unix sockets for communications, one for plain TPM commands and responses, and one for out-of-band control messages. QEMU passes the data socket to be used over the control channel.
