2021-11-28vdpa: Add dummy receive callbackEugenio Pérez1-0/+8
Qemu falls back on userland handlers even if vhost-user and vhost-vdpa cases. These assumes a tap device can handle the packets. If a vdpa device fail to start, it can trigger a sigsegv because of that. Add dummy receiver that returns no progress so it can keep running. 2021-11-15vdpa: Replace qemu_open_old by qemu_open atEugenio Pérez1-1/+1
There is no reason to keep using the old one, since we neither use the variadics arguments nor open it with O_DIRECT. Also, net_client_init1, the caller of net_init_vhost_vdpa, wants all net_client_init_fun to use Error API, so it's a good step in that direction. 2021-10-20vhost-vdpa: multiqueue supportJason Wang1-9/+96
This patch implements the multiqueue support for vhost-vdpa. This is done simply by reading the number of queue pairs from the config space and initialize the datapath and control path net client. 2021-10-15net/vhost-vdpa: Fix device compatibility checkKevin Wolf1-23/+14
vhost-vdpa works only with specific devices. At startup, it second guesses what the command line option handling will do and error out if it thinks a non-virtio device will attach to them. This second guessing is not only ugly, it can lead to wrong error messages ('-device floppy, netdev=foo' should complain about an unknown property, not about the wrong kind of network device being attached) and completely ignores hotplugging. Drop the old checks and implement .check_peer_type() instead to fix this. As a nice side effect, it also removes one more dependency on the legacy QemuOpts infrastructure and even reduces the code size. 2021-06-04virtio-net: Added eBPF RSS to virtio-net.Andrew Melnychenko1-0/+2

2021-03-15net: Do not fill legacy info_str for backendsAlexey Kirillov1-1/+0

2021-03-15net: Move NetClientState.info_str to dynamic allocationsAlexey Kirillov1-1/+1
The info_str field of the NetClientState structure is static and has a size of 256 bytes. This amount is often unclaimed, and the field itself is used exclusively for HMP "info network". The patch translates info_str to dynamic memory allocation. This action is also allows us to painlessly discard usage of this field for backend devices. 2021-03-15qapi: net: Add query-netdev commandAlexey Kirillov1-0/+14
The query-netdev command is used to get the configuration of the current network device backends (netdevs). This is the QMP analog of the HMP command "info network" but only for netdevs (i.e. excluding NIC and hubports). The query-netdev command returns an array of objects of the NetdevInfo type, which are an extension of Netdev type. It means that response can be used for netdev-add after small modification. This can be useful for recreate the same netdev configuration. Information about the network device is filled in when it is created or modified and is available through the NetClientState->stored_config.
