2020-03-06block: Move sysemu QMP commands to QAPI block moduleKevin Wolf1-1/+1
QMP commands that are related to the system emulator and don't make sense in the context of tools such as qemu-storage-daemon should live in qapi/block.json rather than qapi/block-core.json. Move them there. The associated data types are actually also used in code shared with the tools, so they stay in block-core.json. 2020-02-17qapi: Split control.json off misc.jsonKevin Wolf1-0/+1
misc.json contains definitions that are related to the system emulator, so it can't be used for other tools like the storage daemon. This patch moves basic functionality that is shared between all tools (and mostly related to the monitor itself) into a new control.json, which could be used in tools as well. 2019-08-16sysemu: Split sysemu/runstate.h off sysemu/sysemu.hMarkus Armbruster1-0/+1
sysemu/sysemu.h is a rather unfocused dumping ground for stuff related to the system-emulator. Evidence: * It's included widely: in my "build everything" tree, changing sysemu/sysemu.h still triggers a recompile of some 1100 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h, down from 5400 due to the previous two commits). * It pulls in more than a dozen additional headers. Split stuff related to run state management into its own header sysemu/runstate.h. Touching sysemu/sysemu.h now recompiles some 850 objects. qemu/uuid.h also drops from 1100 to 850, and qapi/qapi-types-run-state.h from 4400 to 4200. Touching new sysemu/runstate.h recompiles some 500 objects. Since I'm touching MAINTAINERS to add sysemu/runstate.h anyway, also add qemu/main-loop.h. hw/boards.h pulls in almost 60 headers. The less we include it into headers, the better. As a first step, drop superfluous inclusions, and downgrade some more to what's actually needed. Gets rid of just one inclusion into a header. The handlers for qapi/machine.json's QMP commands are spread over cpus.c, hw/core/numa.c, monitor/misc.c, monitor/qmp-cmds.c, and vl.c. Move them all to new hw/core/machine-qmp-cmds.c, where they are covered by MAINTAINERS section "Machine core", just like qapi/machine.json. 2019-06-18block/block-backend: blk_iostatus_reset: drop usage of bs->jobVladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy1-0/+5
We are going to remove bs->job pointer. Drop it's usage in blk_iostatus_reset. blk_iostatus_reset() has only two callers: 1. blk_attach_dev(). This doesn't have anything to do with jobs and attaching a new guest device won't solve any problem the job encountered, so no reason to reset the iostatus for the job. 2. qmp_cont(). This resets the iostatus for everything. We can just call block_job_iostatus_reset() for all block jobs instead of going through BlockBackend. 2019-06-17monitor: Move {hmp, qmp}.c to monitor/{hmp, qmp}-cmds.cKevin Wolf1-0/+723
Now that we have a monitor/ subdirectory, let's move hmp.c and qmp.c from the root directory there. As they contain implementations of monitor commands, rename them to {hmp,qmp}-cmds.c, so that {hmp,qmp}.c are free for the HMP and QMP infrastructure.
