The Xilinx ZynqMP CAN controller is developed based on SocketCAN, QEMU CAN bus implementation. Bus connection and socketCAN connection for each CAN module can be set through command lines. 2020-09-09hw/net: cadence_gem: Add a new 'phy-addr' propertyBin Meng1-0/+2
At present the PHY address of the PHY connected to GEM is hard-coded to either 23 (BOARD_PHY_ADDRESS) or 0. This might not be the case for all boards. Add a new 'phy-addr' property so that board can specify the PHY address for each GEM instance. We need a solution to use an Ethernet PHY that is not the first device on the MDIO bus (device 0 on MDIO bus). As an example with the i.MX6UL the NXP SOC has 2 Ethernet devices but only one MDIO bus on which the 2 related PHY are connected but at unique addresses. In my "build everything" tree, changing hw/qdev-properties.h triggers a recompile of some 2700 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). Many places including hw/qdev-properties.h (directly or via hw/qdev.h) actually need only hw/qdev-core.h. Include hw/qdev-core.h there instead. hw/qdev.h is actually pointless: all it does is include hw/qdev-core.h and hw/qdev-properties.h, which in turn includes hw/qdev-core.h. Replace the remaining uses of hw/qdev.h by hw/qdev-properties.h. While there, delete a few superfluous inclusions of hw/qdev-core.h. Touching hw/qdev-properties.h now recompiles some 1200 objects. Several other headers include it just to get qemu_irq and.or qemu_irq_handler. Move the qemu_irq and qemu_irq_handler typedefs from hw/irq.h to qemu/typedefs.h, and then include hw/irq.h only where it's still needed. Touching it now recompiles only some 500 objects. 2019-08-16include: Make headers more self-containedMarkus Armbruster2-0/+2
Back in 2016, we discussed[1] rules for headers, and these were generally liked: 1. Have a carefully curated header that's included everywhere first. We got that already thanks to Peter: osdep.h. 2. Headers should normally include everything they need beyond osdep.h. If exceptions are needed for some reason, they must be documented in the header. If all that's needed from a header is typedefs, put those into qemu/typedefs.h instead of including the header. 3. Cyclic inclusion is forbidden. This patch gets include/ closer to obeying 2. It's actually extracted from my "[RFC] Baby steps towards saner headers" series[2], which demonstrates a possible path towards checking 2 automatically. It passes the RFC test there. This is the common header guard idiom: /* * File comment */ #ifndef GUARD_SYMBOL_H #define GUARD_SYMBOL_H ... actual contents ... #endif A few of our headers have some #include before the guard. target/tilegx/spr_def_64.h has #ifndef __DOXYGEN__ outside the guard. A few more have the #define elsewhere. Change them to match the common idiom. For spr_def_64.h, that means dropping #ifndef __DOXYGEN__. While there, rename guard symbols to make scripts/clean-header-guards.pl happy. Frame truncation length, TRUNC_FL, is determined by the contents of ENET_FTRL register, so convert the code to use it instead of a hardcoded constant. To avoid the case where TRUNC_FL is greater that ENET_MAX_FRAME_SIZE, increase the value of the latter to its theoretical maximum of 16K. The FTGMAC100 device is an Ethernet controller with DMA function that can be found on Aspeed SoCs (which include NCSI). It is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3 specification for 10/100 Mbps Ethernet and IEEE 802.3z specification for 1000 Mbps Ethernet and includes Reduced Media Independent Interface (RMII) and Reduced Gigabit Media Independent Interface (RGMII) interfaces. It adopts an AHB bus interface and integrates a link list DMA engine with direct M-Bus accesses for transmitting and receiving packets. It has independent TX/RX fifos, supports half and full duplex (1000 Mbps mode only supports full duplex), flow control for full duplex and backpressure for half duplex. The FTGMAC100 also implements IP, TCP, UDP checksum offloads and supports IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tag insertion and removal. It offers high-priority transmit queue for QoS and CoS applications This model is backed with a RealTek 8211E PHY which is the chip found on the AST2500 EVB. It is complete enough to satisfy two different Linux drivers and a U-Boot driver. Not supported features are : - IEEE 802.1Q VLAN - High Priority Transmit Queue - Wake-On-LAN functions The code is based on the Coldfire Fast Ethernet Controller model.
