2020-09-09Move QOM typedefs and add missing includesEduardo Habkost1-2/+3
Some typedefs and macros are defined after the type check macros. This makes it difficult to automatically replace their definitions with OBJECT_DECLARE_TYPE. Followed by: $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i --pattern=MoveSymbols \ $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') which will: - move the typedefs and #defines above the type check macros - add missing #include "qom/object.h" lines if necessary Reviewed-by: Daniel P. 2019-08-16Include hw/irq.h a lot lessMarkus Armbruster1-1/+0
In my "build everything" tree, changing hw/irq.h triggers a recompile of some 5400 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). hw/hw.h supposedly includes it for convenience. Several other headers include it just to get qemu_irq and.or qemu_irq_handler. Move the qemu_irq and qemu_irq_handler typedefs from hw/irq.h to qemu/typedefs.h, and then include hw/irq.h only where it's still needed. Touching it now recompiles only some 500 objects. 2019-06-12Normalize position of header guardMarkus Armbruster1-3/+5
This is the common header guard idiom: /* * File comment */ #ifndef GUARD_SYMBOL_H #define GUARD_SYMBOL_H ... actual contents ... #endif A few of our headers have some #include before the guard. target/tilegx/spr_def_64.h has #ifndef __DOXYGEN__ outside the guard. A few more have the #define elsewhere. Change them to match the common idiom. For spr_def_64.h, that means dropping #ifndef __DOXYGEN__. While there, rename guard symbols to make scripts/clean-header-guards.pl happy. 2016-12-20Move target-* CPU file into a target/ folderThomas Huth1-1/+1
We've currently got 18 architectures in QEMU, and thus 18 target-xxx folders in the root folder of the QEMU source tree. More architectures (e.g. RISC-V, AVR) are likely to be included soon, too, so the main folder of the QEMU sources slowly gets quite overcrowded with the target-xxx folders. To disburden the main folder a little bit, let's move the target-xxx folders into a dedicated target/ folder, so that target-xxx/ simply becomes target/xxx/ instead. 2014-10-20hw: Convert from BlockDriverState to BlockBackend, mostlyMarkus Armbruster1-2/+2
Device models should access their block backends only through the block-backend.h API. Convert them, and drop direct includes of inappropriate headers. Just four uses of BlockDriverState are left: * The Xen paravirtual block device backend (xen_disk.c) opens images itself when set up via xenbus, bypassing blockdev.c. I figure it should go through qmp_blockdev_add() instead. * Device model "usb-storage" prompts for keys. No other device model does, and this one probably shouldn't do it, either. * ide_issue_trim_cb() uses bdrv_aio_discard() instead of blk_aio_discard() because it fishes its backend out of a BlockAIOCB, which has only the BlockDriverState. * PC87312State has an unused BlockDriverState[] member. The next two commits take care of the latter two. Signed-off-by: Markus Armbruster <armbru@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Max Reitz <mreitz@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>

2013-04-08hw: move headers to include/Paolo Bonzini1-0/+1015
Many of these should be cleaned up with proper qdev-/QOM-ification. Right now there are many catch-all headers in include/hw/ARCH depending on cpu.h, and this makes it necessary to compile these files per-target. However, fixing this does not belong in these patches.
