2019-08-16Clean up inclusion of sysemu/sysemu.hMarkus Armbruster1-1/+0
In my "build everything" tree, changing sysemu/sysemu.h triggers a recompile of some 5400 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). Almost a third of its inclusions are actually superfluous. Delete them. Downgrade two more to qapi/qapi-types-run-state.h, and move one from char/serial.h to char/serial.c. hw/semihosting/config.c, monitor/monitor.c, qdev-monitor.c, and stubs/semihost.c define variables declared in sysemu/sysemu.h without including it. The compiler is cool with that, but include it anyway. This doesn't reduce actual use much, as it's still included into widely included headers. The next commit will tackle that. Several other headers include it just to get VMStateDescription. The previous commit made that unnecessary. Include migration/vmstate.h only where it's still needed. Touching it now recompiles only some 1600 objects. Several other headers include it just to get qemu_irq and.or qemu_irq_handler. Move the qemu_irq and qemu_irq_handler typedefs from hw/irq.h to qemu/typedefs.h, and then include hw/irq.h only where it's still needed. Touching it now recompiles only some 500 objects. The ne2000.c file contains functions common the the ISA and PCI devices. To allow to build with one or another, extract the PCI specific part into a new file. This fix an issue where the NE2000_ISA Kconfig had to pull the full PCI core objects. Most files that have TABs only contain a handful of them. Change them to spaces so that we don't confuse people. disas, standard-headers, linux-headers and libdecnumber are imported from other projects and probably should be exempted from the check. 2018-10-19ne2000: fix possible out of bound access in ne2000_receiveJason Wang1-2/+2
In ne2000_receive(), we try to assign size_ to size which converts from size_t to integer. This will cause troubles when size_ is greater INT_MAX, this will lead a negative value in size and it can then pass the check of size < MIN_BUF_SIZE which may lead out of bound access of for both buf and buf1. 2016-07-19qapi: Change Netdev into a flat unionEric Blake1-1/+1
This is a mostly-mechanical conversion that creates a new flat union 'Netdev' QAPI type that covers all the branches of the former 'NetClientOptions' simple union, where the branches are now listed in a new 'NetClientDriver' enum rather than generated from the simple union. The existence of a flat union has no change to the command line syntax accepted for new code, and will make it possible for a future patch to switch the QMP command to parse a boxed union for no change to valid QMP; but it does have some ripple effect on the C code when dealing with the new types. While making the conversion, note that the 'NetLegacy' type remains unchanged: it applies only to legacy command line options, and will not be ported to QMP, so it should remain a wrapper around a simple union; to avoid confusion, the type named 'NetClientOptions' is now gone, and we introduce 'NetLegacyOptions' in its place. Then, in the C code, we convert from NetLegacy to Netdev as soon as possible, so that the bulk of the net stack only has to deal with one QAPI type, not two. Note that since the old legacy code always rejected 'hubport', we can just omit that branch from the new 'NetLegacyOptions' simple union. 2015-01-12net: remove all cleanup methods from NIC NetClientInfosPaolo Bonzini1-8/+0
All NICs have a cleanup function that, in most cases, zeroes the pointer to the NICState. In some cases, it frees data belonging to the NIC. However, this function is never called except when exiting from QEMU. It is not necessary to NULL pointers and free data here; the right place to do that would be in the device's unrealize function, after calling qemu_del_nic. Zeroing the NIC multiple times is also wrong for multiqueue devices. This cleanup function gets in the way of making the NetClientStates for the NIC hold an object_ref reference to the object, so get rid of it.
