2023-01-12hw/misc: Allwinner A10 DRAM Controller EmulationStrahinja Jankovic1-0/+1
During SPL boot several DRAM Controller registers are used. Most important registers are those related to DRAM initialization and calibration, where SPL initiates process and waits until certain bit is set/cleared. This patch adds these registers, initializes reset values from user's guide and updates state of registers as SPL expects it. 2022-12-15hw/misc: Move some arm-related files from specific_ss into softmmu_ssThomas Huth1-6/+5
The header target/arm/kvm-consts.h checks CONFIG_KVM which is marked as poisoned in common code, so the files that include this header have to be added to specific_ss and recompiled for each, qemu-system-arm and qemu-system-aarch64. However, since the kvm headers are only optionally used in kvm-constants.h for some sanity checks, we can additionally check the NEED_CPU_H macro first to avoid the poisoned CONFIG_KVM macro, so kvm-constants.h can also be used from "common" files (without the sanity checks - which should be OK since they are still done from other target-specific files instead). This way, and by adjusting some other include statements in the related files here and there, we can move some files from specific_ss into softmmu_ss, so that they only need to be compiled once during the build process. 2022-06-30hw/misc/aspeed: Add PECI controllerPeter Delevoryas1-1/+2
This introduces a really basic PECI controller that responses to commands by always setting the response code to success and then raising an interrupt to indicate the command is done. This helps avoid getting hit with constant errors if the driver continuously attempts to send a command and keeps timing out. The AST2400 and AST2500 only included registers up to 0x5C, not 0xFC. They supported PECI 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0. The AST2600 and AST1030 support PECI 4.0, which includes more read/write buffer registers from 0x80 to 0xFC to support 64-byte mode. This patch doesn't attempt to handle that, or to create a different version of the controller for the different generations, since it's only implementing functionality that is common to all generations. The basic sequence of events is that the firmware will read and write to various registers and then trigger a command by setting the FIRE bit in the command register (similar to the I2C controller). Then the firmware waits for an interrupt from the PECI controller, expecting the interrupt status register to be filled in with info on what happened. If the command was transmitted and received successfully, then response codes from the host CPU will be found in the data buffer registers. 2022-01-20hw/misc/aspeed_i3c.c: Introduce a dummy AST2600 I3C model.Troy Lee1-0/+1
Aspeed 2600 SDK enables I3C support by default. The I3C driver will try to reset the device controller and set it up through device address table register. This dummy model responds to these registers with default values as listed in the ast2600v10 datasheet chapter 54.2. Some qemu updates for IPMI and I2C Move some ADC file to where they belong and move some sensors to a sensor directory, since with new BMCs coming in lots of different sensors should be coming in. Keep from cluttering things up. Add support for I2C PMBus devices. Replace the confusing and error-prone i2c_send_recv and i2c_transfer with specific send and receive functions. Several errors have already been made with these, avoid any new errors. Fix the watchdog_expired field in the IPMI watchdog, it's not a bool, it's a u8. After a vmstate transfer, the new value could be wrong. # gpg: Signature made Fri 09 Jul 2021 17:25:04 BST # gpg: using RSA key FD0D5CE67CE0F59A6688268661F38C90919BFF81 # gpg: Good signature from "Corey Minyard <cminyard@mvista.com>" [unknown] # gpg: aka "Corey Minyard <minyard@acm.org>" [unknown] # gpg: aka "Corey Minyard <corey@minyard.net>" [unknown] # gpg: aka "Corey Minyard <minyard@mvista.com>" [unknown] # gpg: WARNING: This key is not certified with a trusted signature! # gpg: There is no indication that the signature belongs to the owner. # Primary key fingerprint: FD0D 5CE6 7CE0 F59A 6688 2686 61F3 8C90 919B FF81 * remotes/cminyard/tags/for-qemu-6.1-2: (24 commits) tests/qtest: add tests for MAX34451 device model hw/misc: add MAX34451 device tests/qtest: add tests for ADM1272 device model hw/misc: add ADM1272 device hw/i2c: add support for PMBus ipmi/sim: fix watchdog_expired data type error in IPMIBmcSim struct hw/i2c: Introduce i2c_start_recv() and i2c_start_send() hw/i2c: Extract i2c_do_start_transfer() from i2c_start_transfer() hw/i2c: Make i2c_start_transfer() direction argument a boolean hw/i2c: Rename i2c_set_slave_address() -> i2c_slave_set_address() hw/i2c: Remove confusing i2c_send_recv() hw/misc/auxbus: Replace i2c_send_recv() by i2c_recv() & i2c_send() hw/misc/auxbus: Replace 'is_write' boolean by its value hw/misc/auxbus: Explode READ_I2C / WRITE_I2C_MOT cases hw/misc/auxbus: Fix MOT/classic I2C mode hw/i2c/ppc4xx_i2c: Replace i2c_send_recv() by i2c_recv() & i2c_send() hw/i2c/ppc4xx_i2c: Add reference to datasheet hw/display/sm501: Replace i2c_send_recv() by i2c_recv() & i2c_send() hw/display/sm501: Simplify sm501_i2c_write() logic hw/input/lm832x: Define TYPE_LM8323 in public header ... 2021-03-12hw/misc: Add NPCM7XX MFT ModuleHao Wu1-0/+1
This patch implements Multi Function Timer (MFT) module for NPCM7XX. This module is mainly used to configure PWM fans. It has just enough functionality to make the PWM fan kernel module work. The module takes two input, the max_rpm of a fan (modifiable via QMP) and duty cycle (a GPIO from the PWM module.) The actual measured RPM is equal to max_rpm * duty_cycle / NPCM7XX_PWM_MAX_DUTY. The RPM is measured as a counter compared to a prescaled input clock. The kernel driver reads this counter and report to user space. 2020-10-27hw/arm/raspi: add a skeleton implementation of the CPRMANLuc Michel1-0/+1
The BCM2835 CPRMAN is the clock manager of the SoC. It is composed of a main oscillator, and several sub-components (PLLs, multiplexers, ...) to generate the BCM2835 clock tree. This commit adds a skeleton of the CPRMAN, with a dummy register read/write implementation. It embeds the main oscillator (xosc) from which all the clocks will be derived. 2020-10-27hw/misc: Add npcm7xx random number generatorHavard Skinnemoen1-0/+1
The RNG module returns a byte of randomness when the Data Valid bit is set. This implementation ignores the prescaler setting, and loads a new value into RNGD every time RNGCS is read while the RNG is enabled and random data is available. A qtest featuring some simple randomness tests is included. 2020-10-26hw/misc/led: Add a LED devicePhilippe Mathieu-Daudé1-0/+1
Add a LED device which can be connected to a GPIO output. They can also be dimmed with PWM devices. For now we do not implement the dimmed mode, but in preparation of a future implementation, we start using the LED intensity. LEDs are limited to a fixed set of colors. 2020-09-14hw/misc: Add NPCM7xx Clock Controller device modelHavard Skinnemoen1-0/+1
Enough functionality to boot the Linux kernel has been implemented. This includes: - Correct power-on reset values so the various clock rates can be accurately calculated. - Clock enables stick around when written. In addition, a best effort attempt to implement SECCNT and CNTR25M was made even though I don't think the kernel needs them. 2020-09-14hw/misc: Add NPCM7xx System Global Control Registers device modelHavard Skinnemoen1-0/+3
Implement a device model for the System Global Control Registers in the NPCM730 and NPCM750 BMC SoCs. This is primarily used to enable SMP boot (the boot ROM spins reading the SCRPAD register) and DDR memory initialization; other registers are best effort for now. The reset values of the MDLR and PWRON registers are determined by the SoC variant (730 vs 750) and board straps respectively. 2020-09-01hw/misc/sbsa_ec : Add an embedded controller for sbsa-refGraeme Gregory1-0/+2
A difference between sbsa platform and the virt platform is PSCI is handled by ARM-TF in the sbsa platform. This means that the PSCI code there needs to communicate some of the platform power changes down to the qemu code for things like shutdown/reset control. Space has been left to extend the EC if we find other use cases in future where ARM-TF and qemu need to communicate.
