2019-08-16Include migration/vmstate.h lessMarkus Armbruster1-0/+1
In my "build everything" tree, changing migration/vmstate.h triggers a recompile of some 2700 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). hw/hw.h supposedly includes it for convenience. Several other headers include it just to get VMStateDescription. The previous commit made that unnecessary. Include migration/vmstate.h only where it's still needed. Touching it now recompiles only some 1600 objects. Several other headers include it just to get qemu_irq and.or qemu_irq_handler. Move the qemu_irq and qemu_irq_handler typedefs from hw/irq.h to qemu/typedefs.h, and then include hw/irq.h only where it's still needed. Touching it now recompiles only some 500 objects. We standardize all debug output on the following format: [QOM_TYPE_NAME]reporting_function: debug message We also replace IPRINTF with qemu_log_mask(). The qemu_log_mask() output is following the same format as the above debug. After commit 767adce2d, they are redundant. This way we don't assign them except when needed. Once there, there were lots of cases where the ".fields" indentation was wrong: .fields = (VMStateField []) { and .fields = (VMStateField []) { Change all the combinations to: .fields = (VMStateField[]){ The biggest problem (apart from aesthetics) was that checkpatch complained when we copy&pasted the code from one place to another.
