2016-01-29ide: Clean up includesPeter Maydell1-0/+1
Clean up includes so that osdep.h is included first and headers which it implies are not included manually. This commit was created with scripts/clean-includes. Signed-off-by: Peter Maydell <peter.maydell@linaro.org> Message-id: 1453832250-766-17-git-send-email-peter.maydell@linaro.org
2014-10-24hmp: Remove "info pcmcia"Markus Armbruster1-1/+0
This command lists PCMCIA sockets and cards. Only a few ARM boards have sockets (akita, borzoi, connex, mainstone, spitz, terrier, tosa, verdex, z2), the only card is the DSCM-1xxxx Hitachi Microdrive (qdev "microdrive"), and it is only inserted during machine init, if ever. So this command doesn't really tell anybody anything new so far. Moreover, pcmcia_socket_unregister() has a use-after-free bug, flagged by Coverity. Has never been used, because there has never been code to eject a PCMCIA card. Not worth fixing & converting to QMP. Remove it. 2014-10-20hw: Convert from BlockDriverState to BlockBackend, mostlyMarkus Armbruster1-2/+2
Device models should access their block backends only through the block-backend.h API. Convert them, and drop direct includes of inappropriate headers. Just four uses of BlockDriverState are left: * The Xen paravirtual block device backend (xen_disk.c) opens images itself when set up via xenbus, bypassing blockdev.c. I figure it should go through qmp_blockdev_add() instead. * Device model "usb-storage" prompts for keys. No other device model does, and this one probably shouldn't do it, either. * ide_issue_trim_cb() uses bdrv_aio_discard() instead of blk_aio_discard() because it fishes its backend out of a BlockAIOCB, which has only the BlockDriverState. * PC87312State has an unused BlockDriverState[] member. The next two commits take care of the latter two. Signed-off-by: Markus Armbruster <armbru@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Max Reitz <mreitz@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
2014-08-20block: Drop some superfluous casts from void *Markus Armbruster1-1/+1
They clutter the code. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to make Coccinelle drop all of them, so I have to settle for common special cases: @@ type T; T *pt; void *pv; @@ - pt = (T *)pv; + pt = pv; @@ type T; @@ - (T *) (\(g_malloc\|g_malloc0\|g_realloc\|g_new\|g_new0\|g_renew\| g_try_malloc\|g_try_malloc0\|g_try_realloc\| g_try_new\|g_try_new0\|g_try_renew\)(...)) 2014-05-14savevm: Remove all the unneeded version_minimum_id_old (rest)Juan Quintela1-2/+1
After previous Peter patch, they are redundant. This way we don't assign them except when needed. Once there, there were lots of case where the ".fields" indentation was wrong: .fields = (VMStateField []) { and .fields = (VMStateField []) { Change all the combinations to: .fields = (VMStateField[]){ The biggest problem (appart from aesthetics) was that checkpatch complained when we copy&pasted the code from one place to another. 2013-04-08hw: move headers to include/Paolo Bonzini1-1/+1
Many of these should be cleaned up with proper qdev-/QOM-ification. Right now there are many catch-all headers in include/hw/ARCH depending on cpu.h, and this makes it necessary to compile these files per-target. However, fixing this does not belong in these patches.
