The gdb description GDB_SIGNAL_IO is "I/O possible" and by default gdb will try and restart the guest, getting us nowhere. Report GDB_SIGNAL_STOP instead which should at least halt the session at the failure point. 2023-10-12gdbstub: replace exit calls with proper shutdown for softmmuClément Chigot1-0/+6
This replaces the exit calls by shutdown requests, ensuring a proper cleanup of Qemu. Features like net/vhost-vdpa.c are expecting qemu_cleanup to be called to remove their last residuals.
