2024-01-19qemu-options: Remove the deprecated -no-acpi optionThomas Huth1-2/+2
It's been marked as deprecated since QEMU 8.0, so it should be fine to remove this now. Message-ID: <20240118103759.130748-3-thuth@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Markus Armbruster <armbru@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Michael Tokarev <mjt@tls.msk.ru> Signed-off-by: Thomas Huth <thuth@redhat.com>
2023-12-12docs: clean-up the xenpvh documentationAlex Bennée1-0/+2
I noticed the code blocks where not rendering properly so thought I'd better fix things up. So: - Use better title for the machine type - Explain why Xen is a little different - Add a proper anchor to the tpm-device link - add newline so code block properly renders - add some indentation to make continuation clearer Signed-off-by: Alex Bennée <alex.bennee@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Stefan Hajnoczi <stefanha@redhat.com> Message-ID: <20231207130623.360473-1-alex.bennee@linaro.org>
2023-04-20docs: Add support for TPM devices over I2C busNinad Palsule1-0/+21
This is a documentation change for I2C TPM device support. Qemu already supports devices attached to ISA and sysbus. This drop adds support for the I2C bus attached TPM devices. 2020-06-19tpm: Move backend code under the 'backends/' directoryPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé1-4/+4
TPM subsytem is split into backends (see commit f4ede81eed2) and frontends (see i.e. 3676bc69b35). Keep the emulated hardware 'frontends' under hw/tpm/, but move the backends in the backends/tpm/ directory. 2020-03-12docs: Be consistent about capitalization of 'Arm'Peter Maydell1-3/+3
The company 'Arm' went through a rebranding some years back involving a recapitalization from 'ARM' to 'Arm'. As a result our documentation is a bit inconsistent between the two forms. It's not worth trying to update everywhere in QEMU, but it's easy enough to make docs/ consistent. Note that "ARMv8" and similar architecture names, and older CPU names like "ARM926" still retain all-caps.
