From 42a4c9f9e094419c27e53c4fbc4f2fd23887c7c5 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Rafael Espindola Date: Fri, 6 Jun 2014 01:20:28 +0000 Subject: Allow aliases to be unnamed_addr. Alias with unnamed_addr were in a strange state. It is stored in GlobalValue, the language reference talks about "unnamed_addr aliases" but the verifier was rejecting them. It seems natural to allow unnamed_addr in aliases: * It is a property of how it is accessed, not of the data itself. * It is perfectly possible to write code that depends on the address of an alias. This patch then makes unname_addr legal for aliases. One side effect is that the syntax changes for a corner case: In globals, unnamed_addr is now printed before the address space. llvm-svn: 210302 --- llvm/lib/Bitcode/Reader/BitcodeReader.cpp | 2 ++ 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+) (limited to 'llvm/lib/Bitcode/Reader/BitcodeReader.cpp') diff --git a/llvm/lib/Bitcode/Reader/BitcodeReader.cpp b/llvm/lib/Bitcode/Reader/BitcodeReader.cpp index 41d1f06..9638117 100644 --- a/llvm/lib/Bitcode/Reader/BitcodeReader.cpp +++ b/llvm/lib/Bitcode/Reader/BitcodeReader.cpp @@ -1988,6 +1988,8 @@ error_code BitcodeReader::ParseModule(bool Resume) { UpgradeDLLImportExportLinkage(NewGA, Record[2]); if (Record.size() > 5) NewGA->setThreadLocalMode(GetDecodedThreadLocalMode(Record[5])); + if (Record.size() > 6) + NewGA->setUnnamedAddr(Record[6]); ValueList.push_back(NewGA); AliasInits.push_back(std::make_pair(NewGA, Record[1])); break; -- cgit v1.1
