2019-08-21[LLVM][Alignment] Introduce Alignment In MachineFrameInfoGuillaume Chatelet1-11/+14
Summary: This is patch is part of a serie to introduce an Alignment type. See this thread for context: http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2019-July/133851.html See this patch for the introduction of the type: https://reviews.llvm.org/D64790 Reviewers: jfb Subscribers: hiraditya, dexonsmith, llvm-commits, courbet Tags: #llvm Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D65800 llvm-svn: 369531
2019-07-16Fix parameter name comments using clang-tidy. NFC.Rui Ueyama1-1/+1
This patch applies clang-tidy's bugprone-argument-comment tool to LLVM, clang and lld source trees. Here is how I created this patch: $ git clone https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project.git $ cd llvm-project $ mkdir build $ cd build $ cmake -GNinja -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug \ -DLLVM_ENABLE_PROJECTS='clang;lld;clang-tools-extra' \ -DCMAKE_EXPORT_COMPILE_COMMANDS=On -DLLVM_ENABLE_LLD=On \ -DCMAKE_C_COMPILER=clang -DCMAKE_CXX_COMPILER=clang++ ../llvm $ ninja $ parallel clang-tidy -checks='-*,bugprone-argument-comment' \ -config='{CheckOptions: [{key: StrictMode, value: 1}]}' -fix \ ::: ../llvm/lib/**/*.{cpp,h} ../clang/lib/**/*.{cpp,h} ../lld/**/*.{cpp,h} llvm-svn: 366177
2019-06-17Describe stack-id as an enumSander de Smalen1-2/+2
This patch changes MIR stack-id from an integer to an enum, and adds printing/parsing support for this in MIR files. The default stack-id '0' is now renamed to 'default'. This should make MIR tests that have stack objects with different stack-ids more descriptive. It also clarifies code operating on StackID. 2019-04-02Enforce StackID definition in PEISander de Smalen1-2/+7
There are various places in LLVM where the definition of StackID is not properly honoured, for example in PEI where objects with a StackID > 0 are allocated on the default stack (StackID0). This patch enforces that PEI only considers allocating objects to StackID 0. 2019-01-19Update the file headers across all of the LLVM projects in the monorepoChandler Carruth1-4/+3
to reflect the new license. We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach. Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and repository. llvm-svn: 351636
2018-05-14Rename DEBUG macro to LLVM_DEBUG.Nicola Zaghen1-3/+3
The DEBUG() macro is very generic so it might clash with other projects. The renaming was done as follows: - git grep -l 'DEBUG' | xargs sed -i 's/\bDEBUG\s\?(/LLVM_DEBUG(/g' - git diff -U0 master | ../clang/tools/clang-format/clang-format-diff.py -i -p1 -style LLVM - Manual change to APInt - Manually chage DOCS as regex doesn't match it. In the transition period the DEBUG() macro is still present and aliased to the LLVM_DEBUG() one. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D43624 llvm-svn: 332240
2018-04-30IWYU for llvm-config.h in llvm, additions.Nico Weber1-0/+1
See r331124 for how I made a list of files missing the include. I then ran this Python script: for f in open('filelist.txt'): f = f.strip() fl = open(f).readlines() found = False for i in xrange(len(fl)): p = '#include "llvm/' if not fl[i].startswith(p): continue if fl[i][len(p):] > 'Config': fl.insert(i, '#include "llvm/Config/llvm-config.h"\n') found = True break if not found: print 'not found', f else: open(f, 'w').write(''.join(fl)) and then looked through everything with `svn diff | diffstat -l | xargs -n 1000 gvim -p` and tried to fix include ordering and whatnot. No intended behavior change. llvm-svn: 331184
2018-04-09Fix printing of stack id in MachineFrameInfoMatt Arsenault1-1/+1
uint8_t is printed as a char, so it needs to be casted to do the right thing. llvm-svn: 329622
2017-12-05MachineFrameInfo: Cleanup some parameter naming inconsistencies; NFCMatthias Braun1-17/+19
Consistently use the same parameter names as the names of the affected fields. This avoids some unintuitive abbreviations like `isSS`. llvm-svn: 319722
2017-11-17Fix a bunch more layering of CodeGen headers that are in TargetDavid Blaikie1-2/+2
All these headers already depend on CodeGen headers so moving them into CodeGen fixes the layering (since CodeGen depends on Target, not the other way around). llvm-svn: 318490
2017-11-08Target/TargetInstrInfo.h -> CodeGen/TargetInstrInfo.h to match layeringDavid Blaikie1-2/+2
This header includes CodeGen headers, and is not, itself, included by any Target headers, so move it into CodeGen to match the layering of its implementation. llvm-svn: 317647
2017-11-03Move TargetFrameLowering.h to CodeGen where it's implementedDavid Blaikie1-1/+1
This header already includes a CodeGen header and is implemented in lib/CodeGen, so move the header there to match. This fixes a link error with modular codegeneration builds - where a header and its implementation are circularly dependent and so need to be in the same library, not split between two like this. llvm-svn: 317379

2017-10-12[dump] Remove NDEBUG from test to enable dump methods [NFC]Don Hinton1-1/+1
Summary: Add LLVM_FORCE_ENABLE_DUMP cmake option, and use it along with LLVM_ENABLE_ASSERTIONS to set LLVM_ENABLE_DUMP. Remove NDEBUG and only use LLVM_ENABLE_DUMP to enable dump methods. Move definition of LLVM_ENABLE_DUMP from config.h to llvm-config.h so it'll be picked up by public headers. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D38406 llvm-svn: 315590
2017-07-20Add an ID field to StackObjectsMatt Arsenault1-2/+7
On AMDGPU SGPR spills are really spilled to another register. The spiller creates the spills to new frame index objects, which is used as a placeholder. This will eventually be replaced with a reference to a position in a VGPR to write to and the frame index deleted. It is most likely not a real stack location that can be shared with another stack object. This is a problem when StackSlotColoring decides it should combine a frame index used for a normal VGPR spill with a real stack location and a frame index used for an SGPR. Add an ID field so that StackSlotColoring has a way of knowing the different frame index types are incompatible. llvm-svn: 308673
2017-05-05ARM: Compute MaxCallFrame size earlyMatthias Braun1-0/+26
This exposes a method in MachineFrameInfo that calculates MaxCallFrameSize and calls it after instruction selection in the ARM target. This avoids ARMBaseRegisterInfo::canRealignStack()/ARMFrameLowering::hasReservedCallFrame() giving different answers in early/late phases of codegen. The testcase shows a particular nasty example result of that where we would fail to properly align an alloca. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D32622 llvm-svn: 302303
