2009-05-22Add ___longjmp_chk support for powerpc{32,64}.Andreas Schwab6-5/+116
2009-05-22Implement accept4 for more archs using socketcall.Jakub Jelinek5-4/+76
So far accept4 was only supported on archs using socketcall for x86. This patch adds support for the remaining archs.
2009-05-21Add missing file from previous IA-64 longjmp commit.Ulrich Drepper1-0/+48
2009-05-21Handle -g option for IA-64 assembler.Ulrich Drepper3-2/+93
2009-05-21Fix IA-64 memchr read-ahead.Ulrich Drepper2-1/+21
The latest stratcliff extension exposed a bug in the IA-64 memchr which uses non-speculative loads to prefetch data. Change the code to use speculative loads with appropriate fixup. Fixes BZ 10162.

2009-05-21Add missing .text directives.H.J. Lu3-1/+8
The ____longjmp_chk functions on x86 and x86-64 were placed in .rodata.str1.1.
2009-05-21Don't define __ASSUME_ACCEPT4 for IA-64.Ulrich Drepper2-1/+6
2009-05-21Remove __NR_accept4 definition.Jakub Jelinek2-3/+3
This definition was meant to be removed before the checkin. It was used in the development.
2009-05-21Correct socketcall argument for accept4.Jakub Jelinek2-3/+8
The header had the old name (paccept).
2009-05-20Sun agreed to a change of the license for the RPC code to a BSD-like license.Ulrich Drepper92-2726/+2524
2009-05-20Danish translation update from translation team.Ulrich Drepper2-172/+176
2009-05-18Add ____longjmp_chk for SH.Kaz Kojima4-1/+91
Following the previous changes for x86 and x86-64.
2009-05-18Fix forced loop termination in nscd database lookup.Jakub Jelinek2-3/+21
There are two issues with the forced loop exit in the nscd lookup: 1. the estimate of the entry size isn't pessimistic enough for all databases, resulting potentially is too early exits 2. the combination of 64-bit process and 32-bit nscd would lead to rejecting valid records in the database.
2009-05-16libc-cancellation.c cleanup.Ulrich Drepper4-11/+35
The unrelated function __libc_cleanup_routine should not be in this file. Move it into its own file.
2009-05-16Unify source for async cancel handling.Ulrich Drepper4-189/+12
Unify all three places where we enable async cancellation for syscalls. Optimize a bit.
2009-05-16Remove sunrpc/.gitignore.Ulrich Drepper1-1/+0
We don't update the RPC sources from the original tarball anymore. No need to ignore that directory.
2009-05-16Fix typos and pretty printing in sys/wait.h.Ulrich Drepper2-14/+15
2009-05-16Non-code changes to stdlib.h.Ulrich Drepper2-13/+15
2009-05-16Unify __WAIT_INT definition in stdlib.h and sys/wait.h.Ulrich Drepper2-3/+6
This fixes BZ #10159. The stdlib.h definition was out of date.
2009-05-16Move BLOCK_ALIGN* macros back.Ulrich Drepper3-8/+5
The move to nscd-client.h was only needed for some interim version of the patch. The final version doesn't need it. Undo the change.
2009-05-16Fix exit condition.Ulrich Drepper2-1/+6
The patch to bound the search in the nscd caches used a wrong exit condition. Fixed now.
2009-05-16Rename nptl/init.c to nptl/nptl-init.c.Ulrich Drepper3-3/+9
Needed to allow overwriting architectures init.c in csu and nptl individually. Fixes BZ #9924.
2009-05-16remove subsumed .gitignore entries and filesJim Meyering9-66/+17
2009-05-16remove mpn-copy.mk from .gitignore filesJim Meyering3-3/+3
2009-05-16remove COPYING* from .gitignore filesJim Meyering7-7/+7
2009-05-16Remove redundant .gitignore files.Andreas Schwab28-168/+0
2009-05-15Further robustify nscd database lookup.Ulrich Drepper4-7/+17
We can compute an absolute maximum for the number of elements which can fit into the currently mapped database. Stop after that many iterations.
2009-05-15Robustify libc-side nscd database reader.Jakub Jelinek9-30/+60
The nscd database mapped in processes can change at any time. We have to be more vigilant when it comes to using that memory. Test the data entries are valid in their entire size, don't read data again from memory once we verified it, and make sure the trailing pointer is not going off the deep end.
2009-05-15Avoid double definition of catomic_compare_and_exchange_val_acq.Jakub Jelinek2-9/+16
2009-05-15ChangeLog entries incorrectly applied.Ulrich Drepper2-25/+25
2009-05-15Add missing export of fallocate64 on 32-bit platforms.Jakub Jelinek10-3/+42
Due to a pasto the fallocate64 interface, introduced in glibc 2.10, isn't exported for 32-bit Linux platforms. It is too late for this now so exported them for glibc 2.11.
2009-05-15Don't try to cleanup libselinux and libaudit.Jakub Jelinek4-20/+9
Because we are not shutting down the other threads first another thread might work on a query before the process shuts down. In this case the now uninitialized libselinux and libaudit might be used. Just don't free the resources. It's not necessary anyway because the process is about to terminate.
2009-05-15Fix change to prevent cancel signal in unsafe places.Ulrich Drepper4-14/+16
The bits tested to decide when to delay the return when switching off async cancel mode were wrong. Fix that. Also close a race condition in pthread_cancel where the bit indicating the cancellation is unconditionally set even if the cancel type might have changed.
2009-05-15Add test for range error in expm1.Ulrich Drepper2-0/+6
2009-05-15Merge branch 'master' of ssh://sources.redhat.com/git/glibcUlrich Drepper0-0/+0

2009-05-15Cleanup some .gitignore files.Ulrich Drepper2-18/+58
2009-05-15Check for valid stack frame in longjmp.Ulrich Drepper17-9/+306
If longjmp restores the stack frame to an address which is beyond the stack frame at the time of the longjmp call it would install an uninitialized stack frame. If compiled with _FORTIFY_SOURCE defined, longjmp will now bail out in this situation.
2009-05-15Ignore Emacs backup files.Ulrich Drepper1-0/+1
2009-05-15Version info change for 2.11 development.Ulrich Drepper2-2/+4
2009-05-15No cancel signal in unsafe places.Ulrich Drepper3-2/+32
When disabling async cancellation we cannot return from the function call if the thread is canceled. This happens when the cancel bits have been set before async cancel is disabled but the signal hasn't been sent/received yet. Delay for as long as necessary since otherwise the signal might be received in an unsafe context.

2009-05-15Test DSOs for executable stack.Ulrich Drepper3-2/+175
Add a text program, built to run on the host, to check all newly built DSOs for executable stacks and fail if the stack information is missing or indicates executable stacks.
