* remote-nindy.c: Cleanup.
1993-02-02* stack.c (parse_frame_specification): Parse as many argumentsJohn Gilmore1-5/+7
as there are (up to MAXARGS). Pass all of them in argc, argv format to SETUP_ARBITRARY_FRAME. Put the burden of checking how many there were, onto SETUP_ARBITRARY_FRAME. * tm-mips.h, tm-sparc.h: Corresponding changes. * mips-tdep.c, sparc-tdep.c: Ditto.
1992-09-25* tm-sparc.h, dbxread.c (read_ofile_symtab): Install Jim Wilson'sStu Grossman1-4/+4
fix to differentiate between gcc1 & gcc2 compiled files so that we can debug calls that pass structs as args correctly. * symmisc.c (dump_symtab): If block was compiled with gcc, say so, and what version.
1992-09-19* tm-sparc.h, xm-sparc.h: externs and macros relating to deferredJohn Gilmore1-0/+15
stores are target dependent and were moved from xm to tm.
1992-09-02* configure.in (*-*-sunos*): Use trailing * to match allJohn Gilmore1-6/+2
sub-variants of SunOS, e.g. sunos4* to match sunos4.1.1. (sparc-*-sunos3): Remove host & target. Sunos3 never shipped in production on Sun-4. ({a29k,i[34]86,i960}-*-elf): Add targets, equivalent to coff. (m68k-*-{aout,coff,elf}): Add targets, w/new config and tm files. (sparc-*-{aout,coff,elf}): Add targets, w/new config and tm files. * tm-68k-un.h, tm-68k-noun.h, tm-spc-un.h, tm-spc-noun.h: New target definitions for embedded with and without underlines on identifiers. FIXME -- this ought to be known by BFD instead. * tm-sparc.h, tm-sun2.h, tm-sun3.h: Delete NAMES_HAVE_UNDERSCORE: not a parameter of the CPU, but of the development environment. * tm-es1800.h, tm-sunos.h, tm-vx68.h: Add NAMES_HAVE_UNDERSCORE.

1992-06-11Small changes from Solaris port. The big stuff is not all working yet.John Gilmore1-1/+1
* inferior.h (register_valid): Declare. * remote-udi.c, rs6000-xdep.c, sparc-xdep.c, tm-rs6000.h: Remove decl. * objfiles.h (ALL_OBJFILE_{SYMTABS,PSYMTABS,MSYMBOLS}): Add macros for traversing the data structures in a single objfile. * tm-m88k.h, tm-sparc.h (REGISTER_NAMES): Remove extra semicolon. * tm-i960.h (REGISTER_NAMES): Cosmetic change. * infcmd.c: Lint.
1992-03-29* target.c (nomemory): Now that higher levels examine errno, give EIO.John Gilmore1-4/+0
* tm-sparc.h: Don't #include <sun4/reg.h>. * sparc-tdep.c (sparc_frame_chain, frame_saved_pc): Remove dependency on <sun4/reg.h>. Start to handle cross-byte-order. * language.h: Avoid forward enum declaration. * configure.in, tm-sun4os5.h, xm-sun4os5.h, config/sun4os5.mh, config/sun4os5.mt: New host and target. * defs.h (errno): #include <errno.h> rather than assuming int. From Pierre Willard.
1992-03-21Many changes, most related to creating entry point information on a per-objfileFred Fish1-7/+1
basis. See comments in objfiles.h and details in ChangeLog. Also remove redundant definitions of FRAME_CHAIN_VALID from most of the tm-* files and use a default definition in frame.h.
1992-02-22* infrun.c, infcmd.c, breakpoint.c, main.c, symfile.c,Stu Grossman1-1/+0
breakpoint.h, tm-sun4os4.h, tm-sparc.h, sparc-tdep.c, tm-mips.h, mips-tdep.h, tm-sun3.h, tm-68k.h, m68k-tdep.h: Add support for stepping (and nexting) through longjmp(). Also, cleanup breakpoint handling quite a bit by creating explicit breakpoint types instead of using magic breakpoint numbers. Makefile.in: Update version to 4.4.3
1992-02-21* environ.h, expression.h, frame.h, gdbcmd.h, gdbcore.h,John Gilmore1-7/+5
inferior.h, language.h, signame.h, target.h, terminal.h, tm-68k.h, tm-i386v.h, tm-sparc.h, tm-sun386.h, tm-symmetry.h, xm-i386v.h, xm-sparc.h: Prototypes for all external functions. Lint.
1991-11-21* defs.h: Incorporate param.h. All users changed.John Gilmore1-5/+1
* param-no-tm.h: Change users to define TM_FILE_OVERRIDE instead. * param.h, param-no-tm.h: Removed. * Update copyrights in all changed files. * dbxread.c, dwarfread.c, inflow.c, infrun.c, m2-exp.y, putenv.c, solib.c, symtab.h, tm-umax.h, valprint.c: Lint. * tm-convex.h, tm-hp300hpux.h, tm-merlin.h, tm-sparc.h, xm-merlin.h: Avoid host include files in target descriptions. * getpagesize.h: Removed, libiberty copes now.
1991-11-18Remove tdesc stuff. Remove FRAME_CHAIN_COMBINE from all tm-*.h files,John Gilmore1-7/+1
since it was always defined exactly the same in all of them.
1991-11-07* tm-*.h: Remove READ_DBX_FORMAT, COFF_FORMAT, andJohn Gilmore1-5/+2
READ_MIPS_FORMAT, which have been unused since BFD. Still remaining is COFF_NO_LONG_FILE_NAMES. * tm-sun3.h, tm-altos.h: Remove detritus accidentally left from function calling code moved to m68k-tdep.c.
1991-10-27* blockframe.c: Pass fromleaf to INIT_EXTRA_FRAME_INFO.John Gilmore1-1/+1
* tm-29k.h, tm-88k.h, tm-i960.h, tm-irix3.h, tm-mips.h, tm-pyr.h, tm-sparc.h: Accept fromleaf parameter.
1991-10-26* tm-sparc.h, tm-68k.h (EXTRACT_RETURN_VALUE): fix output ofStu Grossman1-1/+3
short return values for sparc and 68k. Patch from Paul Eggert.
1991-08-20* mcheck.c: Avoid warning about undeclared abort fn.John Gilmore1-2/+2
* tm-sparc.h (PC_ADJUST): Avoid calling error() from this; it causes recursive calls to error() when used in cleanups. To do so requires that we make it a function, so we do. * sparc-tdep.c (sparc_pc_adjust): New implem of PC_ADJUST. * utils.c (do_cleanups): Remove the current cleanup from the chain *before* calling it, in case error() is called from it. The result won't be pretty, but won't be an infinite loop either.
1991-08-14 * blockframe.c (frameless_look_for_prologue): Speed up byJohn Gilmore1-3/+8
calling SKIP_PROLOGUE_FRAMELESS_P if it's defined. * tm-sparc.h (SKIP_PROLOGUE, SKIP_PROLOGUE_FRAMELESS_P): Define two variants, one faster. * sparc-tdep.c (sparc_frame_chain): Use target_read_memory and return zero, rather than giving an error. (setup_arbitrary_frame): Initialize the PC in the new frame. (skip_prologue): Add a second arg saying whether we're just checking for a frameless function or not.
1991-06-04Change GDB over to GNU General Public License version 2.John Gilmore1-6/+6
1991-05-02The list of changes is too long to fit in the cvs log (since it truncates!).Jim Kingdon1-6/+8
Look at the ChangeLog for Apr 30 and May 1.
