This commit is the result of running the gdb/copyright.py script,
which automated the update of the copyright year range for all
source files managed by the GDB project to be updated to include
year 2023.

On s390x-linux, I run into:
...
DUPLICATE: gdb.arch/s390-multiarch.exp: Linux v2
DUPLICATE: gdb.arch/s390-multiarch.exp: Linux v2
DUPLICATE: gdb.arch/s390-multiarch.exp: Linux v2
...
Fix this by using with_test_prefix.
Tested on s390x-linux.

It is not necessary to call get_compiler_info before calling
test_compiler_info, and, after recent commits that removed setting up
the gcc_compiled, true, and false globals from get_compiler_info,
there is now no longer any need for any test script to call
get_compiler_info directly.
As a result every call to get_compiler_info outside of lib/gdb.exp is
redundant, and this commit removes them all.
There should be no change in what is tested after this commit.

This commit brings all the changes made by running gdb/copyright.py
as per GDB's Start of New Year Procedure.
For the avoidance of doubt, all changes in this commits were
performed by the script.

This commits the result of running gdb/copyright.py as per our Start
of New Year procedure...

Update copyright year range in copyright header of all GDB files.

gdb/ChangeLog:
Update copyright year range in all GDB files.
|
|
This commit applies all changes made after running the gdb/copyright.py
script.
Note that one file was flagged by the script, due to an invalid
copyright header
(gdb/unittests/basic_string_view/element_access/char/empty.cc).
As the file was copied from GCC's libstdc++-v3 testsuite, this commit
leaves this file untouched for the time being; a patch to fix the header
was sent to gcc-patches first.

This will allow to format output of "info reg" command as we wish,
without breaking the tests. In particular, it'll let us correctly align
raw and natural values of the registers using spaces instead of current
badly-working approach with tabs.
This change is forwards- and backwards-compatible, so that the amended
tests will work in the same way before and after reformatting patches
(unless the tests check formatting, of course, but I've not come across
any such tests).
Some tests already used this expected pattern, so they didn't
even have to be modified. Others are changed by this patch.
I've checked this on a i386 system, with no noticeable differences in
test results, so at least on i386 nothing seems to be broken by this.
gdb/testsuite/ChangeLog:
* gdb.arch/powerpc-d128-regs.exp: Replace expected "\[\t\]*" from
"info reg" with "\[ \t\]*".
* gdb.arch/altivec-regs.exp: Replace expected "\t" from "info reg" with
"\[ \t\]+".
* gdb.arch/s390-multiarch.exp: Ditto.
* gdb.base/pc-fp.exp: Ditto.
* gdb.reverse/i386-precsave.exp: Ditto.
* gdb.reverse/i386-reverse.exp: Ditto.
* gdb.reverse/i387-env-reverse.exp: Ditto.
* gdb.reverse/i387-stack-reverse.exp: Ditto.

This applies the second part of GDB's End of Year Procedure, which
updates the copyright year range in all of GDB's files.

Since test artifacts are organized in a directory hierarchy, the
s390-multiarch test case is not executed correctly any more. This is
because it uses an obsolete way of constructing the output paths.
This fix invokes standard_testfile instead.
gdb/testsuite/ChangeLog:
* gdb.arch/s390-multiarch.exp: Use standard_testfile instead of
maintaining separate logic for constructing the output path.
