2024-01-12Update copyright year range in header of all files managed by GDBAndrew Burgess1-1/+1
This commit is the result of the following actions: - Running gdb/copyright.py to update all of the copyright headers to include 2024, - Manually updating a few files the copyright.py script told me to update, these files had copyright headers embedded within the file, - Regenerating gdbsupport/Makefile.in to refresh it's copyright date, - Using grep to find other files that still mentioned 2023. If these files were updated last year from 2022 to 2023 then I've updated them this year to 2024. I'm sure I've probably missed some dates. Feel free to fix them up as you spot them.

Likewise for targets frv and lm32, the two other targets that include opcodes/<target-name>-desc.h. Likewise for more cgen symbols that I got the same warning for when using -flto-partition=one. A PR has been filed to take care of this in the opcodes dir instead (PR30758). Tested on x86_64-linux. Needed for single stepping in Linux, this adds the or1k implementation of or1k_software_single_step. Most of the implementation is borrowed from the bare metal single step code from or1k_single_step_through_delay which has been extracted and shared in helper function or1k_delay_slot_p.

2019-02-07Normalize include guards in gdbTom Tromey1-4/+3
While working on my other scripts to deal with gdb headers, I noticed that some files were missing include guards. I wrote a script to add the missing ones, but found that using the obvious names for the guards ran into clashes -- for example, gdb/nat/linux-nat.h used "LINUX_NAT_H", but this was also the script's choice for gdb/linux-nat.h. So, I changed the script to normalize all include guards in gdb. This patch is the result. This commit applies all changes made after running the gdb/copyright.py script. Note that one file was flagged by the script, due to an invalid copyright header (gdb/unittests/basic_string_view/element_access/char/empty.cc). As the file was copied from GCC's libstdc++-v3 testsuite, this commit leaves this file untouched for the time being; a patch to fix the header was sent to gcc-patches first. gdb/ChangeLog: Update copyright year range in all GDB files.
2018-10-06Do not accidentally include in-tree readline headersTom Tromey1-2/+2
PR build/17077 points out that when --with-system-readline is given, gdb will still pick up the in-tree readline headers. Normally this is not a big problem, because readline is very stable and so the ABI does not change much; but it is clearly a bug to do this, and could bite at some point. The basic problem is that OPCODES_CFLAGS uses -I$(OPCODES_SRC)/.. so that #include "opcodes/..." works. However, this also makes it so the This patch fixes the problem in a mildly hacky way: remove the offending -I option, and change gdb to use #include "../opcodes/..." instead. This continues to make it clear where the header comes from, without allowing incorrect behavior. This patch prepares the current GDB port of the OpenRISC processor from https://github.com/openrisc/binutils-gdb for upstream merging. Testing has been done with a cgen sim provided in a separate patch. This has been tested with 2 toolchains. GCC [1] 5.4.0 from the OpenRISC project with Newlib [2] and GCC 5.4.0 with Musl [3] 1.1.4. It supports or1knd (no delay slot target). The default target is or1k (with delay slot).
