All target descriptions except mips initialization are called in -tdep.c,
instead of -nat.c, so this patch moves mips target descriptions
initialization to -tdep.c. Secondly, I want to change the target
descriptions from pre-generated to dynamical creation, so I want to test
that these pre-generated target descriptions equal to these dynamically
created ones. Move target descriptions initialization to -tdep.c files so
we can test them in any hosts (if they are still -nat.c, we can only test
them on mips-linux host.).

RAJESH reported that GDB gets "Couldn't write debug register: No such
process." on mips64 when GDB attaches to a multi threaded application.
Looks GDB nows PTRACE_GET_WATCH_REGS for inferior_ptid but
PTRACE_SET_WATCH_REGS for lwp->ptid, they may be different.

GLIBC BZ#20311 [1] proc_service.h install patch also remove 'const'
attributes from ps_get_thread_area and comment #15 discuss why to remove
the const attribute (basically since it a callback with the struct
ps_prochandle owned by the client it should be able to modify it if
it the case).
On default build this is not the issue and current g++ does not trigger
any issue with this mismatch declaration. However, on some bootstrap
build configuration where gdbserver is build with gcc instead this
triggers:
error: conflicting types for 'ps_get_thread_area'
This patch fixes it by syncing the declaration with GLIBC.

This patch is part of the make-gdb-buildable-in-C++ effort. The idea is
to change some calls to the xmalloc family of functions to calls to the
equivalents in the XNEW family. This avoids adding an explicit cast, so
it keeps the code a bit more readable. Some of them also map relatively
well to a C++ equivalent (XNEW (struct foo) -> new foo), so it will be
possible to do scripted replacements if needed.
I only changed calls that were obviously allocating memory for one or
multiple "objects". Allocation of variable sizes (such as strings or
buffer handling) will be for later (and won't use XNEW).

buildbot or people complaining that I broke their gdb.

This is a patch I extracted from Pedro's C++ branch. It contains the
most trivial enum fixes, where an integer type/value was used instead
of the appropriate enum type/value. It fixes many C++ errors, since
in C++ you can't mix integers and enums implicitely.
Regardless of the C++ conversion, I think this is a good cleanup to make
use of the appropriate enum types.
Regression-tested on native x86_64.

Since Pedro's ptrace cleanups, the MIPS buildbot compilation fails.
Code in MIPS native uses ptrace with 3 arguments, where ptrace requires
4. When looking at the definition of ptrace in
/usr/include/sys/ptrace.h, it shows that it takes a variable number of
arguments. The wrapper macro in nat/gdb_ptrace.h takes a fixed number
of arguments (4). That would explain why it used to work and stopped.
I am pushing this as obvious, tell me if there is any problem.
I built-tested this with a MIPS toolchain (ct-ng), but I don't have any
setup to test it. At least it should put back the buildbot builder in a
better shape.

This commit adds a new global flag show_debug_regs to common-debug.h
to replace the flag debug_hw_points used by gdbserver and by the
Linux x86 and AArch64 ports, and to replace the flag maint_show_dr
used by the Linux MIPS port.
Note that some debug printing in the AArch64 port was enabled only if
debug_hw_points > 1 but no way to set debug_hw_points to values other
than 0 and 1 was provided; that code was effectively dead. This
commit enables all debug printing if show_debug_regs is nonzero, so
the AArch64 output will be more verbose than previously.

PTRACE_PEEKUSER can return -1, which is usually used to determine whether
a system call has reported an error, so errno must be used alone to
determine whether an error occurred. However errno isn't modified by a
successful system call so it must be reset to a known value (0) before the
syscall call.
Add the missing errno reset when reading the DSP_CONTROL register in the
native MIPS Linux backend and the MIPS gdbserver backend.

When I build mips native gdb today, I get the follow error,

A subsequent pass introduces delegation helper functions to the target
API. This delegation is much cleaner if the target_ops pointer is
directly available at delegation time.
This patch adds the "this" pointer to various to_* methods for this
purpose.
This updates a number of ports which I am unable to test. Please give
them a look-over. Any possible problem here is trivial, though, as
all that is required is adding an argument to a function.
