2019-07-09Rename common to gdbsupportTom Tromey1-1/+1
This is the next patch in the ongoing series to move gdbsever to the top level. This patch just renames the "common" directory. The idea is to do this move in two parts: first rename the directory (this patch), then move the directory to the top. This approach makes the patches a bit more tractable. I chose the name "gdbsupport" for the directory. However, as this patch was largely written by sed, we could pick a new name without too much difficulty. 2019-04-06Revert the header-sorting patchTom Tromey1-30/+26
Andreas Schwab and John Baldwin pointed out some bugs in the header sorting patch; and I noticed that the output was not correct when limited to a subset of files (a bug in my script). So, I'm reverting the patch. This commit applies all changes made after running the gdb/copyright.py script. Note that one file was flagged by the script, due to an invalid copyright header (gdb/unittests/basic_string_view/element_access/char/empty.cc). As the file was copied from GCC's libstdc++-v3 testsuite, this commit leaves this file untouched for the time being; a patch to fix the header was sent to gcc-patches first. gdb/ChangeLog: Update copyright year range in all GDB files.

This fixes all the straightforward -Wshadow=local warnings in gdb. A few standard approaches are used here: * Renaming an inner (or outer, but more commonly inner) variable; * Lowering a declaration to avoid a clash; * Moving a declaration into a more inner scope to avoid a clash, including the special case of moving a declaration into a loop header.
