1995-06-10 * targets.c: Add copy_private_symbol_data and link_split_sectionJeff Law1-0/+8
to the target vector. * libbfd-in.h (_bfd_generic_bfd_copy_private_symbol_data): Define. (_bfd_nolink_bfd_link_split_section): Likewise. 1995-05-23Make linking mips-elf and mips-ecoff work. At least, better than it did.Ken Raeburn1-0/+2
* bfd.c (bfd_get_relocated_section_contents): Now a function, tries calling routine from input bfd target vector for bfd_indirect_link_order. Put a declaration into the header file. * bfd-in2.h: Regenerated. * elf32-mips.c (gprel16_with_gp): New function, split out from mips_elf_gprel16_reloc. (mips_elf_gprel16_reloc): Call it. If output bfd target vector isn't elf flavoured, abort, since it's assumed to be elf in some of this code, including the code that looks up the gp value. (elf32_mips_get_relocated_section_contents): New function, modified from bfd_generic_get_relocated_section_contents to deal with passing gp to gprel16_with_gp. (bfd_elf32_bfd_get_relocated_section_contents): New macro. * elf32-target.h (bfd_elf32_bfd_get_relocated_section_contents): Don't define if already defined.

files. * elfcode.h (elf_fake_sections): Add prototype. (bfd_section_from_shdr): Make a BFD section from an SHT_HASH section, and from an SHT_DYNSYM section, and from the dynamic string table section. 1993-08-25Merged in changes from Jeff Law and Pete Hoogenboom at Utah for PA ELFKen Raeburn1-0/+25
support. Compiles, not particularly well tested. See ChangeLog for details.
1993-07-26(elfXX_bed): Initialize maxpagesize from ELF_MAXPAGESIZE.Ken Raeburn1-4/+9
(ELF_MAXPAGESIZE): Default to 1.
1993-07-19* elf.c, elfcode.h, libelf.h: Serious reorganization.Ken Raeburn1-0/+1
Deleted `thunk' structure, merged into tdata, duplicate data eliminated. Rearranged functions, grouping by function. Broke up many functions in elfcode.h, re-ordered many parts of file writing to handle unpredictable state of section relocation table as provided by various applications. Still needs cleanup: Merge functions back together, split out data structure with only data that is used only when writing out object file. * elf.c (bfd_elf_generic_reloc): New function, taken from coff-mips.c. * elf32-sparc.c (elf_sparc_howto_table): Use it, to work around bfd_perform_relocation lossage.
