* event-loop.c (gdb_assert.h): Include.
(<windows.h>): Include under Windows. (<io.h>): Likeiwse. (gdb_select): New function. (gdb_wait_for_event): Use it. * Makefile.in (event-loop.o): Depend on $(gdb_assert_h).
