This patch generalizes diagnostic_context so that rather than having
a single output format, it has a vector of zero or more.
It adds new two options:
-fdiagnostics-add-output=DIAGNOSTICS-OUTPUT-SPEC
-fdiagnostics-set-output=DIAGNOSTICS-OUTPUT-SPEC
which both take a new configuration syntax of the form SCHEME ("text" or
"sarif"), optionally followed by ":" and one or more KEY=VALUE pairs,
in this form:
<SCHEME>
<SCHEME>:<KEY>=<VALUE>
<SCHEME>:<KEY>=<VALUE>,<KEY2>=<VALUE2>
...etc
where each SCHEME supports some set of keys. For example, it's now
possible to use:
-fdiagnostics-add-output=sarif:version=2.1,file=foo.2.1.sarif \
-fdiagnostics-add-output=sarif:version=2.2-prerelease,file=foo.2.2.sarif
to add a pair of outputs, each writing to a different file, using
versions 2.1 and 2.2 of the SARIF standard respectively, whilst also
emitting the classic text form of the diagnostics to stderr.
I hope the new syntax gives us room to potentially add new kinds of
output sink in the future (e.g. RPC notifications), and to add new
key/value pairs as needed by the different sinks.
Implementation-wise, the diagnostic_context's m_printer which previously
was used directly by the single output format now becomes a "reference
printer", created by the client (such as the frontend), with defaults
modified by command-line options. Each of the multiple output sinks has
its own pretty_printer instance, created by cloning the context's
reference printer.

I've tried to build stage3 with
-Wleading-whitespace=blanks -Wtrailing-whitespace=blank -Wno-error=leading-whitespace=blanks -Wno-error=trailing-whitespace=blank
added to STRICT_WARN and that expectably resulted in about
2744 unique trailing whitespace warnings and 124837 leading whitespace
warnings when excluding *.md files (which obviously is in big part a
generator issue). Others from that are generator related, I think those
need to be solved later.
The following patch just fixes up the easy case (trailing whitespace),
which could be easily automated:
for i in `find . -name \*.h -o -name \*.cc -o -name \*.c | xargs grep -l '[ ]$' | grep -v testsuite/`; do sed -i -e 's/[ ]*$//' $i; done
I've excluded files which I knew are obviously generated or go FE.
Is there anything else we'd want to avoid the changes?
Due to patch size, I've split it between gcc/ part (this patch)
and rest (include/, libiberty/, libgcc/, libcpp/, libstdc++-v3/).

My forthcoming patches for PR other/116613 make much more use of
cloning of pretty_printers than before, so it makes sense as a
preliminary patch for the result of pretty_printer::clone to be a
std::unique_ptr, rather than add more manual uses of "delete".
On doing so, I noticed various other places where naked new/delete is
used for run-time configuration of diagnostics:
* the output format (text vs SARIF)
* client data hooks
* the option manager
* the URLifier
Hence this patch also makes use of std::unique_ptr and ::make_unique for
managing such client policy classes, and also for diagnostic_buffer's
per-format implementations.
Unfortunately we can't directly include <memory> in our internal headers
but instead any of our TUs that make use of std::unique_ptr must #define
INCLUDE_MEMORY before including system.h.
Hence the bulk of this patch is taken up with adding a define of
INCLUDE_MEMORY to hundreds of source files: everything that includes
diagnostic.h or pretty-print.h (and thus anything transitively such as
includers of lto-wrapper.h, c-tree.h, cp-tree.h and rtl-ssa.h).
Thanks to Gaius Mulley for the parts of the patch that regenerated the
m2 files.

The diagnostic_starter and diagnostic_finalizer callbacks and most of
their support subroutines are only used by the "text" output format.
Emphasize this and reduce the binding with diagnostic_context
by renaming the callbacks to add "_text" in their names, and converting
the first param from diagnostic_context * to
diagnostic_text_output_output &. Update the various subroutines used
by diagnostic starter/finalizer callbacks to also take a
diagnostic_text_output_output & rather than a diagnostic_context *.
Move m_includes and m_last_seen from the context to the text output.
Use the text_output's get_printer () rather than the context's
m_printer, which should ease the transition to multiple output sinks.
No functional change intended.

ASM_INPUT_P is so named because it causes the eventual rtl insn
pattern to be a top-level ASM_INPUT rather than an ASM_OPERANDS.
However, this name has caused confusion, partly due to earlier
documentation. The name also sounds related to ASM_INPUTS but
is for a different piece of state.
This patch renames it to ASM_BASIC_P, with the inverse meaning
an extended asm. ("Basic asm" is the term used in extend.texi.)

r15-1699-g445c62ee492 contains changes that trigger two maybe-uninitialized
warnings on Darwin, which result in a bootstrap failure.
Note that the warnings are false positives, in fact the variables should be
initialized in the cases of a switch (all values of the switch condition are
covered).
Fixed here by providing default initializations for the relevant variables.

Currently how we determine which mode will be used for a
floating point type is that for a given type precision
(size) call mode_for_size to get the first mode which has
this size in the specified class. On Powerpc, we have
three modes (TF/KF/IF) having the same mode precision 128
(see[1]), so the processing forces us to have to place TF
at the first place, it would require us to make more
adjustment in some generic code to avoid some unexpected
mode conversions and it would be even worse if we get rid
of TF eventually one day. And as Joseph pointed out in [2],
"floating types should have their mode, not a poorly
defined precision value", as Joseph and Richi suggested,
this patch is to introduce one hook mode_for_floating_type
which returns the corresponding mode for type float, double
or long double. The default implementation returns SFmode
for float and DFmode for double or long double. For ports
which need special treatment, there are some other patches
for their own port specific implementation (referring to
how {,LONG_}DOUBLE_TYPE_SIZE get used there). For all
generic uses of {FLOAT,{,LONG_}DOUBLE}_TYPE_SIZE, depending
on the context, some of them are replaced with TYPE_PRECISION
of the according type node, some other are replaced with
GET_MODE_PRECISION on the mode from mode_for_floating_type.
This patch also poisons {FLOAT,{,LONG_}DOUBLE}_TYPE_SIZE,
so most defines of {FLOAT,{,LONG_}DOUBLE}_TYPE_SIZE in port
specific are removed, but there are still some which are
good to be kept for readability then they get renamed with
port specific prefix.

Pushed as obvious after a quick build to make sure jit still builds.

Currently, we have no exports list for libgccjit, which means that
all symbols are exported, including those from libstdc++ which is
linked statically into the lib. This causes failures when the
shared libstdc++ is used but some c++ symbols are satisfied from
libgccjit.
This implements an export file for Darwin (which is currently
manually created by cross-checking libgccjit.map). Ideally we'd
script this, at some point. Update libtool current and age to
reflect the current ABI version (we are not bumping the SO name
at this stage).
This fixes a number of new failures in jit testing.
gcc/jit/ChangeLog:
* Make-lang.in: Implement exports list, and use a shared
libgcc.
* libgccjit.exports: New file.

I went through suspicios %l in format strings of *printf family functions
combined with casts to (long) or (unsigned long) and tried to find out the
types of the original expressions that were cast.
Quite a few had size_t type, so I've used the new HOST_SIZE_T_PRINT_*
macros together with cast to fmt_size_t for those, and then there were
quite a few HOST_WIDE_INTs cast to long, used HOST_WIDE_INT_PRINT_* for
those without casts. There was one case of a weird unsigned int variable
used with %lu and (long) cast too.
