The Linux kernel people want a feature that makes GCC pretend some
inline assembler code is tiny (while it would think it is huge), so
that such code will be inlined essentially always instead of
essentially never.
This patch lets you say "asm inline" instead of just "asm", with the
result that that inline assembler is always counted as minimum cost
for inlining. It implements this for C and C++, making "inline"
another asm-qualifier (supplementing "volatile" and "goto").

[[likely]] and [[unlikely]] are equivalent to the GNU hot/cold attributes,
except that they can be applied to arbitrary statements as well as labels;
this is most likely to be useful for marking if/else branches as likely or
unlikely. Conveniently, PREDICT_EXPR fits the bill nicely as a
representation.
I also had to fix marking case labels as hot/cold, which didn't work before.
Which then required me to force __attribute ((fallthrough)) to apply to the
statement rather than the label.

Historically GCC used location_t, while libcpp used source_location.
This inconsistency has been annoying me for a while, so this patch
removes source_location in favor of location_t throughout
(as the latter is shorter).

Building an ADDR_EXPR uses the canonical type to build the pointer
type, but then, as we dereference it, we lose track of lax alignment
known to apply to the dereferenced object. This might not be a
problem in general, but it is when the compiler implicitly introduces
address taking and dereferencing, as it does for asm statements, and
as it may do in some loop optimizations.

We often emit logically-related groups of diagnostics.
A relatively simple case is this:

where the "note" diagnostic issued by the "inform" call
is guarded by the -Wmultistatement_macros warning.
More complicated examples can be seen in the C++ frontend,
where e.g. print_z_candidates can lead to numerous "note"
diagnostics being emitted.
I'm looking at various ways to improve how we handle such related
diagnostics, but, prior to this patch, there was no explicit
relationship between these diagnostics: the diagnostics subsystem
had no way of "knowing" that these were related.
This patch introduces a simple way to group the diagnostics:
an auto_diagnostic_group class: all diagnostics emitted within
the lifetime of an auto_diagnostic_group instance are logically
grouped.
Hence in the above example, the two diagnostics can be grouped
by simply adding an auto_diagnostic_group instance:

so that the lifetime of the auto_diagnostic_group groups the
warning_at and the inform call.
Nesting is handled by simply tracking a nesting depth within the
diagnostic_context.: all diagnostics are treated as grouped until the
final auto_diagnostic_group is popped.
diagnostic.c uses this internally, so that all diagnostics are part of
a group - those that are "by themselves" are treated as being part of
a group with one element.
The diagnostic_context gains optional callbacks for displaying the
start of a group (when the first diagnostic is emitted within it), and
the end of a group (for when the group was non-empty); these callbacks
are unused by default, but a test plugin demonstrates them (and verifies
that the machinery is working).
As noted above, I'm looking at various ways to use the grouping to
improve how we output the diagnostics.
FWIW, I experimented with a more involved implementation, of the form:

an error or warning (and thus having to pass the group around)
Hence I went with this simpler approach.

(gimplify_omp_for): For composite loops, move outer
OMP_{DISTRIBUTE,TASKLOOP,FOR,PARALLEL} right around innermost
OMP_FOR/OMP_SIMD if there are any non-trivial wrappers. For class
iterators add any needed clauses. Allow OMP_FOR_ORIG_DECLS to contain
TREE_LIST for both the original class iterator and the "last" helper
var. Gimplify OMP_FOR_PRE_BODY before the outermost composite
loop, remember has_decl_expr from outer composite loops for the
innermost OMP_SIMD in TREE_PRIVATE bit on OMP_FOR_INIT.

There are four optabs for various forms of fused multiply-add:
fma, fms, fnma and fnms. Of these, only fma had a direct gimple
representation. For the other three we relied on special pattern-
matching during expand, although tree-ssa-math-opts.c did have
some code to try to second-guess what expand would do.
This patch removes the old FMA_EXPR representation of fma and
introduces four new internal functions, one for each optab.
IFN_FMA is tied to BUILT_IN_FMA* while the other three are
independent directly-mapped internal functions. It's then
possible to do the pattern-matching in match.pd and
tree-ssa-math-opts.c (via folding) can select the exact
FMA-based operation.
The BRIG & HSA parts are a best guess, but seem relatively simple.

This is needed to build libgfortran for SVE. The OpenMP code needs
to create temporary vector variables, and the variables will therefore

This patch adds a tree representation for poly_ints. Unlike the
rtx version, the coefficients are INTEGER_CSTs rather than plain
integers, so that we can easily access them as poly_widest_ints
and poly_offset_ints.
The patch also adjusts some places that previously
relied on "constant" meaning "INTEGER_CST". It also makes
sure that the TYPE_SIZE agrees with the TYPE_SIZE_UNIT for
vector booleans, given the existing:

This patch completes the infrastructure for the introduction of
statement frontiers in C-family languages.
It brings in all the code remaining code needed to introduce and
transform begin stmt trees, gimple stmts, insns and notes, and
ultimately use them to generate the is_stmt column in DWARF2+ line
number tables/programs, however none of it is activated: the option
that would do so will be introduced in a subsequent patch.
This patch depends on an earlier patch with not-quite-boilerplate
changes towards SFN.

This patch adjusts numerous parts of the compiler that would
malfunction should they find debug markers at points where they may be
introduced. The changes purport to allow the compiler to pass
bootstrap-debug-lean (-fcompare-debug in stage3) at various
optimization levels, as well as bootstrap-debug-lib (-fcompare-debug
for target libraries), even after the compiler is changed so that
debug markers are introduced in code streams at spots where earlier
debug stmts, insns and notes wouldn't normally appear.
This patch depends on an earlier SFN boilerplate patch, and on another
SFN patch that introduces new RTL insn-walking functions.
