2020-11-25libsanitizer: Add hwasan pass and associated gimple changesMatthew Malcomson1-0/+1
There are four main features to this change: 1) Check pointer tags match address tags. When sanitizing for hwasan we now put HWASAN_CHECK internal functions before memory accesses in the `asan` pass. This checks that a tag in the pointer being used match the tag stored in shadow memory for the memory region being used. These internal functions are expanded into actual checks in the sanopt pass that happens just before expansion into RTL. We use the same mechanism that currently inserts ASAN_CHECK internal functions to insert the new HWASAN_CHECK functions. 2) Instrument known builtin function calls. Handle all builtin functions that we know use memory accesses. This commit uses the machinery added for ASAN to identify builtin functions that access memory. The main differences between the approaches for HWASAN and ASAN are: - libhwasan intercepts much less builtin functions. - Alloca needs to be transformed differently (instead of adding redzones it needs to tag shadow memory and return a tagged pointer). - stack_restore needs to untag the shadow stack between the current position and where it's going. - `noreturn` functions can not be handled by simply unpoisoning the entire shadow stack -- there is no "always valid" tag. (exceptions and things such as longjmp need to be handled in a different way, usually in the runtime). For hardware implemented checking (such as AArch64's memory tagging extension) alloca and stack_restore will need to be handled by hooks in the backend rather than transformation at the gimple level. This will allow architecture specific handling of such stack modifications. 3) Introduce HWASAN block-scope poisoning Here we use exactly the same mechanism as ASAN_MARK to poison/unpoison variables on entry/exit of a block. In order to simply use the exact same machinery we're using the same internal functions until the SANOPT pass. This means that all handling of ASAN_MARK is the same. This has the negative that the naming may be a little confusing, but a positive that handling of the internal function doesn't have to be duplicated for a function that behaves exactly the same but has a different name. gcc/ChangeLog: * asan.c (asan_instrument_reads): New. 2020-08-03Removal of HSA offloading from gcc and libgompMartin Jambor1-7/+0
This patch removes the generation of HSAIL from the compiler, the HSA offloading plugin from libgomp and the associated testsuite tests and infrastructure bits from the respective testsuites. Apart from removal of the obvious files, I removed bits that I found by searching for HSA related terms and by re-tracing my steps and looking at the patches that introduced HSA in the first place. I did not remove everything these patches brought in, for example: - the mechanism to pass offload-target specific info from the application to the offloading plugin - but the same mechanism is also used to communicate number of teams and the thread limit to all offload targets. - run_func hook in gomp_device_descr stays too, although now it is not used. If some future offload target would like the ability to refuse to offload some functions, it can use it. It is easy to remove as a follow-up if it is considered clutter, though. - configure options --with-hsa-runtime=PATH, -with-hsa-runtime-include=PATH and --with-hsa-runtime-lib=PATH rmeain because GCN uses them too. - Surprisingly, GOMP_TARGET_ARG_HSA_KERNEL_ATTRIBUTES (a constant from gomp-constants.h) appears in the source of the amdgcn libgomp plugin, although I tend to think that code path is not ever used and this patch certainly removes it from the compiler. Nevertheless, it seems it has potential value beyond HSAIL and so I've kept it, it can of course always be easily removed in the future of GCN folk abandon it too. - I assume constants OFFLOAD_TARGET_TYPE_HSA and GOMP_DEVICE_HSA need to stay indefinitely too just so that no future offload target picks that number. - I have kept dg-require-effective-target offload_device_nonshared_as requirement of thests which have it. It is quite probable I missed some small HSA artifacts but those should be easy to remove later as we find them. include/ChangeLog: 2020-07-24 Martin Jambor <mjambor@suse.cz> * gomp-constants.h (GOMP_VERSION_HSA): Remove. gcc/ChangeLog: 2020-07-24 Martin Jambor <mjambor@suse.cz> * hsa-brig-format.h: Moved to brig/brigfrontend. * hsa-brig.c: Removed. * hsa-builtins.def: Likewise. * hsa-common.c: Likewise. * hsa-common.h: Likewise. * hsa-dump.c: Likewise. * hsa-gen.c: Likewise. * hsa-regalloc.c: Likewise. * ipa-hsa.c: Likewise. * omp-grid.c: Likewise. * omp-grid.h: Likewise. * Makefile.in (BUILTINS_DEF): Remove hsa-builtins.def. 2020-06-16openmp: Initial part of OpenMP 5.0 non-rectangular loop supportJakub Jelinek1-4/+10
OpenMP 5.0 adds support for non-rectangular loop collapses, e.g. triangular and more complex. This patch deals just with the diagnostics so that they aren't rejected immediately as before. As the spec generally requires as before that the iteration variable initializer and bound in the comparison as invariant vs. the outermost loop, and just add some exceptional forms that can violate that, we need to avoid folding the expressions until we can detect them and in order to avoid folding it later on, I chose to use a TREE_VEC in those expressions to hold the var_outer * expr1 + expr2 triplet, the patch adds pretty-printing of that, gimplification etc. and just sorry_at during omp expansion for now. The next step will be to implement the different cases of that one by one. 2020-06-16 Jakub Jelinek <jakub@redhat.com> gcc/ * tree.h (OMP_FOR_NON_RECTANGULAR): Define. * gimplify.c (gimplify_omp_for): Diagnose schedule, ordered or dist_schedule clause on non-rectangular loops. 2019-11-12Add OpenACC 2.6 `serial' construct supportMaciej W. Rozycki1-0/+3
The `serial' construct (cf. section 2.5.3 of the OpenACC 2.6 standard) is equivalent to a `parallel' construct with clauses `num_gangs(1) num_workers(1) vector_length(1)' implied. These clauses are therefore not supported with the `serial' construct. All the remaining clauses accepted with `parallel' are also accepted with `serial'. The `serial' construct is implemented like `parallel', except for hardcoding dimensions rather than taking them from the relevant clauses, in `expand_omp_target'. Separate codes are used to denote the `serial' construct throughout the middle end, even though the mapping of `serial' to an equivalent `parallel' construct could have been done in the individual language frontends. In particular, this allows to distinguish between compute constructs in warnings, error messages, dumps etc. 2019-11-12 Maciej W. 2018-12-06asm inlineSegher Boessenkool1-0/+2
The Linux kernel people want a feature that makes GCC pretend some inline assembler code is tiny (while it would think it is huge), so that such code will be inlined essentially always instead of essentially never. This patch lets you say "asm inline" instead of just "asm", with the result that that inline assembler is always counted as minimum cost for inlining. 2018-05-18Replace FMA_EXPR with one internal fn per optabRichard Sandiford1-21/+0
There are four optabs for various forms of fused multiply-add: fma, fms, fnma and fnms. Of these, only fma had a direct gimple representation. For the other three we relied on special pattern- matching during expand, although tree-ssa-math-opts.c did have some code to try to second-guess what expand would do. This patch removes the old FMA_EXPR representation of fma and introduces four new internal functions, one for each optab. IFN_FMA is tied to BUILT_IN_FMA* while the other three are independent directly-mapped internal functions. It's then possible to do the pattern-matching in match.pd and tree-ssa-math-opts.c (via folding) can select the exact FMA-based operation. The BRIG & HSA parts are a best guess, but seem relatively simple. 2018-05-18 Richard Sandiford <richard.sandiford@linaro.org> gcc/ * doc/sourcebuild.texi (scalar_all_fma): Document. * tree.def (FMA_EXPR): Delete. * internal-fn.def (FMA, FMS, FNMA, FNMS): New internal functions. * internal-fn.c (ternary_direct): New macro. 2018-05-17Gimple FE support for internal functionsRichard Sandiford1-2/+5
This patch gets the gimple FE to parse calls to internal functions. The only non-obvious thing was how the functions should be written to avoid clashes with real function names. One option would be to go the magic number of underscores route, but we already do that for built-in functions, and it would be good to keep them visually distinct. In the end I borrowed the local/internal label convention from asm and used: x = .SQRT (y); 2018-05-17 Richard Sandiford <richard.sandiford@linaro.org> gcc/ * internal-fn.h (lookup_internal_fn): Declare * internal-fn.c (lookup_internal_fn): New function. * gimple.c (gimple_build_call_from_tree): Handle calls to internal functions. * gimple-pretty-print.c (dump_gimple_call): Print "." before internal function names. * tree-pretty-print.c (dump_generic_node): Likewise. * tree-ssa-scopedtables.c (expr_hash_elt::print): Likewise. gcc/c/ * gimple-parser.c: Include internal-fn.h. 2017-12-12[SFN] introduce statement frontier notes, still disabledAlexandre Oliva1-0/+7
This patch completes the infrastructure for the introduction of statement frontiers in C-family languages.
