This adds the final few preparations to drop modules in. I'd missed a
couple of changes to core compiler -- a new pair of preprocessor
options, and marking the boundary of fixed and lazy global trees.
For C++, we need to add module.cc to the GTY scanner. Parsing final
cleanups needs a few tweaks for modules. Lambdas used to initialize a
global (for instance) get an extra scope, but we now need to point
that object to the lambda too. Finally template instantiation needs
to do lazy loading before looking at the available instantiations and
specializations.

The driver enables -dD when preprocessing when -g3 is specified, for obvious reasons
that we need the macros to be preserved somewhere for them to make up the debug
info. But it enables it even if -g3 is later overridden to -g2, -g1 or -g0,
where we in the end don't emit .debug_mac{ros,info}.
The following patch passes -dD only if we'll need it.

This issue is found when we try to always define MULTILIB_DEFAULTS for -march
and -mabi for RISC-V back-end, however `-print-multi-lib` will skip
multi-lib setting if match any one of flag in MULTILIB_DEFAULTS, even
some options are specified in the option list with '!'.
e.g.
We have default march=rv32i and mabi=ilp32.
And we have following multi-lib set:
". !march=rv32i !march=rv32im !march=rv32imafc !mabi=ilp32 !mabi=ilp32f;"
"rv32i/ilp32 march=rv32i !march=rv32im !march=rv32imafc mabi=ilp32 !mabi=ilp32f;"
"rv32im/ilp32 !march=rv32i march=rv32im !march=rv32imafc mabi=ilp32 !mabi=ilp32f;"
"rv32imafc/ilp32f !march=rv32i !march=rv32ic !march=rv32im march=rv32imafc !mabi=ilp32 mabi=ilp32f;"
`-print-multi-lib` willl show `.` and `rv32imafc/ilp32f` only, because
the mabi=ilp32 is matched, however there is `!march=rv32i` in `rv32im/ilp32`, so
`rv32im/ilp32` should keep, because it reject march=rv32i.
Note: This can be reproduced via following configure options with patch [1]:
gcc/configure --target=riscv64-elf --with-arch=rv32i --with-abi=ilp32 \
--with-multilib-generator="rv32i-ilp32--;rv32im-ilp32--;rv32imafc-ilp32f--"

* gcc.c (print_multilib_info): Check default arguments not
appeared in multi-lib option list with '!'

These flags can't be used at the same time as any of the other
sanitizers.
We add an equivalent flag to -static-libasan in -static-libhwasan to
ensure static linking.
The -fsanitize=kernel-hwaddress option is for compiling targeting the
kernel. This flag has defaults to match the LLVM implementation and
sets some other behaviors to work in the kernel (e.g. accounting for
the fact that the stack pointer will have 0xff in the top byte and to not
call the userspace library initialisation routines).
The defaults are that we do not sanitize variables on the stack and
always recover from a detected bug.
Since we are introducing a few more conflicts between sanitizer flags we
refactor the checking for such conflicts to use a helper function which
makes checking for such conflicts more easy and consistent.
We introduce a backend hook `targetm.memtag.can_tag_addresses` that
indicates to the mid-end whether a target has a feature like AArch64 TBI
where the top byte of an address is ignored.
Without this feature hwasan sanitization is not done.

This patch fixes an issue where on systems that are
HAVE_TARGET_EXECUTABLE_SUFFIX the driver calls convert_filename in order to
add the suffix to the filename. However while it excludes `-` it doesn't
exclude the null device. This patches changes the check to exclude anything
that is not a file by calling not_actual_file_p instead.
This also fixes a bug in not_actual_file_p which was accidentally testing
a the global variable output_file instead of the supplied argument. This
hasn't been an issue so far because because not_actual_file_p was only used
on output_file till now.
This fixes the adding of an extension to the nul device which is against
the recommendations on msdn[0] and makes it harder for the next tool in line
to detect it.
Bootstrapped Regtested on x86_64-w64-mingw32 and no issues.
Did do a bootstrap on x86_64-pc-linux-gnu but no regtest as it's not a

This patch adds an if-exists-then-else
builtin spec function, which tests for the existence of
a file and returns one or the other of the following
arguments depending on the result of the test.
This differs from the existing if-exists or
if-exists-else function which return the name of the
tested file if it exists.
This new function is of help to a forthcoming change for
VxWorks where we check for the presence of a specific header
file to decide the name of a library to include in the link
closure.

Ok, here it is in patch form.
I've briefly tested it, with the older binutils I have around (no --gdwarf-N
support), with latest gas (--gdwarf-N that can be passed to as even when
compiling C/C++ etc. code and emitting .debug_line) and latest gas with Mark's fix
reverted (--gdwarf-N support, but can only pass it to as when assembling
user .s/.S files, not when compiling C/C++ etc.).

This patch fixes several memory leaks in the driver, all of which relate
to the handling of static specs. We introduce functions
set_static_spec_{shared,owned}() which are used to enforce proper memory
management when updating the strings in the static_specs table.
This is achieved by making use of the alloc_p field in the table
entries. Similarly to set_spec(), each time we update an entry, we check
whether alloc_p is set, and free the old value if so. We then set
alloc_p correctly based on whether we "own" this memory or whether we're
just taking a pointer to a shared string which we shouldn't free.
The following table shows the number of leaks found by AddressSanitizer
when running a minimal libgccjit program on AArch64. The test program
does the whole libgccjit compilation cycle in a loop (including acquiring
and releasing the context), and the table below shows the number of leaks
for different iterations of that loop.

The initial bug report was that compiling (-c) with -dumpbase ""
-dumpbase-ext .<ext> crashes the driver.
The verification of -dumpbase-ext against -dumpbase doesn't cover the
case in which -dumpbase activates backward-compatibility mode.
I added a test for that, and for -dumpbase-ext without -dumpbase,
trying to make it work in a sensible way, as if applied to the default
-dumpbase for each file. It turned out that this made for too much
complexity in dealing with suffixes derived from input filenames, so I
gave that up and returned to discarding -dumpbase-ext as documented,
ending up with a change identical to that in the original bug report.
I also thought I caught an off-by-one error in the initial
verification, that caused dumpbase_ext to be discarded if it was
identical to the specified dumpbase, but that turned out to be
intentional as well, so I put in comments and a test to reflect it.
Finally, an earlier version of the newly-added tests used "$var.ext"
in an expected output list, which showed me the handling of string
expansion was incorrect. Reworked the expr into an eval to make that
work, and, absent any reliance on post-eval adjustments to so-expanded
output names, I arranged for the adjustments to be skipped after eval.

After the patch that revamped dump and aux outputs, GCC compilation
drivers built without Ada would reject -d* options. Such options
would only be validated because of the %{d*} in Ada lang specs, though
other languages had it as well. Other languages had %< specs that had
to be there before %{d*} %:dumps(), while Ada was missing them.
Adding them to Ada brought the same problem to compilers that had Ada
enabled.
The reason validation failed was that they mishandled %< specs,
advancing past the beginning of the next spec, causing it not to be
handled. Since %{d*} appeared after an odd %<, it was thus ignored.
The logic of validate_switches originally skipped the closing brace
that matched the opening brace, but this shouldn't happen for %<.
Fixed by letting validate_switches know whether it is handling a
braced group or a single atom, and behaving accordingly.

* gcc.c (validate_switches): Add braced parameter. Adjust all
callers. Expected and skip trailing brace only if braced.

This patch simplifies (!!!) the logic governing the naming of dump
files and auxiliary output files in the driver, in the compiler, and
in the LTO wrapper. No changes are made to the naming of primary
outputs, there are often ways to restore past behavior, and a number
of inconsistencies are fixed. Some internal options are removed
(-auxbase and -auxbase-strip), sensible existing uses of -dumpdir and
-dumpbase options remain unchanged, additional useful cases are added,
making for what is still admittedly quite complex. Extensive
documentation and testcases provide numerous examples, from normal to
corner cases.
The most visible changes are:
- aux and dump files now always go in the same directory, that
defaults to the directory of the primary output, but that can be
overridden with -dumpdir, -save-temps=*, or, preserving past behavior,
with a -dumpbase with a directory component.
- driver and compiler now have the same notion of naming of auxiliary
outputs, e.g. .dwo files will no longer be in one location while the
debug info suggests they are elsewhere, and -save-temps and .dwo
auxiliary outputs now go in the same location as .su, .ci and
coverage data, with consistent naming.
- explicitly-specified primary output names guide not only the
location of aux and dump outputs: the output base name is also used in
their base name, as a prefix when also linking (e.g. foo.c bar.c -o
foobar creates foobar-foo.dwo and foobar-bar.dwo with -gsplit-dwarf),
or as the base name instead of the input name (foo.c -c -o whatever.o
creates whatever.su rather than foo.su with -fstack-usage). The
preference for the input file base name, quite useful for our
testsuite, can be restored with -dumpbase "". When compiling and
linking tests in the testsuite with additional inputs, we now use this
flag. Files named in dejagnu board ldflags, libs, and ldscripts are
now quoted in the gcc testsuite with -Wl, so that they are not counted
as additional inputs by the compiler driver.
- naming a -dumpbase when compiling multiple sources used to cause
dumps from later compiles to overwrite those of earlier ones; it is
now used as a prefix when compiling multiple sources, like an
executable name above.
- the dumpbase, explicitly specified or computed from output or input
names, now also governs the naming of aux outputs; since aux outputs
usually replaced the suffix from the input name, while dump outputs
append their own additional suffixes, a -dumpbase-ext option is
introduced to enable a chosen suffix to be dropped from dumpbase to
form aux output names.
- LTO dump and aux outputs were quite a mess, sometimes leaking
temporary output names into -save-temps output names, sometimes
conversely generating desirable aux outputs in temporary locations.
They now obey the same logic of compiler aux and dump outputs, landing
in the expected location and taking the linker output name or an
explicit dumpbase overrider into account.
- Naming of -fdump-final-insns outputs now follows the dump file
naming logic for the .gkd files, and the .gk dump files generated in
the second -fcompare-debug compilation get the .gk inserted before the
suffix that -dumpbase-ext drops in aux outputs.

The link phase is always partial (-r) for VxWorks in kernel mode, which
means that it uses incremental LTO linking by default (-flinker-output=rel).
But in this mode the LTO plugin outputs a warning if one of the object files
involved in the link does not contain LTO bytecode, before switching to
nolto-rel mode. We do not do repeated incremental linking for VxWorks so
silence the warning.

Fix an issue with the GCC driver and the `-x' option where a warning is
issued in an invocation like:
$ riscv64-linux-gnu-gcc -print-multi-directory -x c++
riscv64-linux-gnu-gcc: warning: '-x c++' after last input file has no effect
lib64/lp64d
$
where no inputs were given and hence the use of `-x' is irrelevant.
The statement printed is also untrue as the `-x' does not come after the
last input file given that none was given. Do not print it then if no
inputs were supplied.
* gcc.c (process_command): Only warn about an ineffective `-x'
option if any input files have actually been supplied.

This patch implements a -fdiagnostics-format=json option which
converts the diagnostics to be output to stderr in a JSON format;
see the documentation in invoke.texi.
Logically-related diagnostics are nested at the JSON level, using
the auto_diagnostic_group mechanism.
